I found this razor to cut extremely close for an electric razor, but it’s close enough where it doesn’t cause my skin to feel like it’s been stripped like traditional disposable razors. This is an amazing product!

You weren't clear why there is longer runtime with the Pro version. You mention the Pro uses a lithium battery, but not that the prior version uses Ni-MH. The battery charge level is also handy at home. I've been shaving with it, it loses power, and I have to switch to a razor (because the OneBlade will take too long to wait to finish a shave). Even an hour is too long to wait. You're likely shaving because you'll be going somewhere right after shaving, not shaving to be clean at home. Having the prior model laying on the sink tied to the cord gets it in the way. The stand has the OneBlade Pro occupy less space (it's vertical instead of laying horizontal). The primary reason I'm considering spending money over the regular model that I already have is to know the charge level. This is closer than Norelco's 3-head shaver (which pulls on my facial hairs, especially after they modified the screen design), and actually cleaner than my razor, because I go over and in different directions which irritates my face with a razor. With a 1-hour charge time (instead of overnight) and a runtime of 90 minutes (instead of 45 minutes), I'll probably toss my old model into my travel bag, and make the Pro my regular shaver. However, the fancy variable depth groomer attachment would just sit in the provided travel bag in storage. When I shave, I shave it all. I can't stand having a beard or mustache. Too itchy, not clean, and women really don't want to kiss hair. Closer than a shaver, as close or closer than a razor, and without the nicks. I don't anymore dread splashing on the aftershave. No instant pain, but instead just a cool sensation from evaporization. I've used my old model for a couple years. Razors are far more irritating, and no closer. I keep razors only as an emergency backup, and in my travel bag in case the OneBlade is dead and no outlet available ahead of time to charge. I tossed the Norelco 3-head because it irritates more than the OneBlade. While you can use the OneBlade blade without shaving cream, there is no reservoir to hold the cut hair, and some tends to fly off the face when cut, so you end up with hairs not just around your sink, but also on the floor, toilet, mirror, or wherever it may fly. I use shaving cream to reduce friction during shaving, but it also helps immensely to trap the cut hairs, so they go down the drain instead all over. The shaving cream is the capture scheme due to no reservoir, like you have with their 3-head rotary shaver where the hair is inside the blade holder. Since it is water-proof, I just shave on a wet face since I don't care where the cut hair flies inside the shower, but the lighting in there isn't as good as when using the medicine cabinet with the light bar above. Something I can do with the OneBlade is shave in every direction, especially against whichever direction a hair grows. This lets me get very close. The rotary razor was harder to get the blades to go against the grain. Razors will work, but usually cause nicks. I can even shave over moles with the OneBlade without fear of nicking them. Eliminates the gross hair growing out a mole. Something I didn't know what you can subscribe to blade refills. I was ordering them online from Walmart: 3-blade pack for $35, so just a tad under $11 apiece. Two 3-packs lasts me close to a year, so 6 blades for $70. If I subscribe to refills from Norelco (2 blades every 4 months, so 6 blades a year for 3 reorders at $20/order), the cost is $60: a $10 savings. Shipping is free (same at Walmart). Not a huge savings, but I did not expect Norelco's direct sale to be cheaper than Walmart.

Maybe I missed it, but one of the items that I did not see both in the instruction sheet that accompanies my Philips OneBlade or the app or reviews is the "extension handle" so that I can shave the hair on my back without having to have my wife perform that task (although I can't say I mind that. Ha Ha! Just that she is not always available to perform the task), as she did when using a regular manual shaving tool. So does Philips sell such an extension handle as they mention in the app? Or do I have to look else-wear? And just so every one reading this post knows, if there is in fact an extension tool available for an additional purchase, I fail to see it in the app (other than it is recommended to use one) or in the included instructions with my Philips One-Blade or this video that discusses the advantages of newer improved Pro Model. Again, did I miss something? Thanks anyone for a response.

What I wanted to know, is the pro any more powerful/ capable than the standard version. I shave my head, and more times than I care to say my hair gets away from me, and I use the one blade to knock it back down to a shave-able height. The standard one blade works pretty good for this, but leaves something to be desired in its ability to power through head hair, it usually takes several passes to get everything trimmed.

The big problem with theses in general are the combs. They're cheap quality so they tend to get loose pretty fast. Especially on the normal version. Keep in mind that each time you shave or trim, you put and take off the comb 4 times in average. On the normal version, the comb last me for less than a year. This is why I now use a Panasonic high-end trimmer.
