Finally, after years, Philips is back to its old ways. Namely, the shaving block is hinged again, and you can wash the shaver again with one hand, as it was many years ago. And the trimmer is again built into the body of the shaver, not as a separate attachment, which was inconvenient.

I wish Philips would bring back the triple-track blades on their 3-headed rotary shavers. I just cannot find them anywhere and especially not on any wet-dry 3-head rotary shavers. So annoying. With my SweetLF shaver (blue and silver), it takes me about 3-4mins per side of my face,.. Before that I had TWO different Philips models, they were SLOW and painful to use and rapidly went in the trash due to my utter annoyance with them. In short: The SweetLF is incredibly slow and leaves my neck red sore. With my OLD Philips that had a triple-track 3-bladed head, it took me 2mins TOTAL to do my whole face and barely got any redness at all. Lastly, the tiny blades inside the heads,.. most are SOOOOO tiny these days, which makes shaving so very, very slow. On my old Philips (Li-Io battery, 8hr charging), the actual blades inside the heads were all of a decent width, shaving took a LOT less time than with more modern shavers.

@@Philips Hi Philips, thanks for responding, much appreciated. I cannot remember the specific models of the two I discarded, Power-Touch and/or Aqua-Touch maybe, but they were of the modern designs (i.e. one was released after early 2000s and the other in the late 2010s but I bought them both between 2010-2019). They only had one track per head (three heads of course). They were slow to get a clean shave, taking way too long to get the hairs on my face and neck and often left my neck sore and red. The two I bought, well, to be frank, it wasn't money well spent; I'm sorry to say. The one I liked (maybe a Philishave?) had a rectangular mechanical on/off switch and I'm pretty sure (99%) it had three heads that were 'triple track' and it had a lithium-ion battery which took 8 hours to charge. I had that for well over fifteen years; it was superb until one day the battery refused to hold any charge whatsoever. I no longer have it. It was black and grey. I bought it new in the mid/late 1990s. I kinda like my SweetLF shaver if not for the redness it causes on my neck, the shaving takes too long, it's a faff because of the single track heads (3) and its tiny blades inside. I really want a 3-head triple-track wet n dry shaver which has a Lithium Ion battery (so, an 8hr charge) that'll last me north of 5yrs definitely but hopefully as much as 10yrs and one which has blades inside the heads that are not tiny as seen on many modern shavers. More blade size = less time faffing about causing redness.

@@Philips Hi Philips, I'm based in the UK but I don't use social media, KZitem is as far as I go. I generally shop with eBay but can/do use other sites too except Amazon.
