On rails. I have the Unique version. They are just about as close to a pattern plane as it gets! Great job 👍

The models are very stable flyers but according to one of the RAAF Roulettes display team pilot's, the full size version , not so much , they were very twitchy especially when flying in tight formation

I worked on the full size version of this particular aircraft, A23-009 (at least I think that's what it says on the nose) , at Hawker Dehavilland in Bankstown Australia in 1988 on the production line, installing wiring and other infrastructure in the aircraft . If you'll bear with me here's a bit of history At that time there was some airframe/ registration shuffling going on due to some minor production issues so A23-009 was actually 012's airframe, 011 became 009 and after the issues were sorted 010 became 012 and 011 went to 010 , got all that? Good, 😀, also it wasn't originally the red and white paint job you see depicted on the model, they were orange on the bottom half of the fuselage white on top with black anti glare panel from windshield to the nose, wings were white inboard and orange on the outboard section, the red and white scheme came in early 1990 and eventually all the fleet aside from a distinct few were painted this colour and most were rotated between the 2FCS training school and Roulettes aerobatic team . Pilatus built the first 3 aircraft for the RAAF, then they supplied the aircraft as kits to be assembled in Australia until the production reached full autonomy in the late 80's

Regardless of all that this is one of my favorite flying planes in a currently 127 plane fleet and wish now I had bought a much larger version and one day might do just that!!😅

@@tennriverluver3534 they are a beautiful aircraft, I'm scratchbuilding one at the moment, if I pull my finger out I might actually get it finished one day.... 127 aircraft? You must have a decent sized shed or garage
