Hey Alex, I was there last fall, there and Twillingate. In Joe Batts Arm, you were across from Young Studios... Adam Young. He's a well known young artist in the Maritimes with a very unique style. I wish i had more time to explore Fogo and Twillingate when I was there. I hope to get back there in the next year or two. Enjoy your videos, cheers!

Cool that the historian took you in and gave you the lowdown of the island. Good perspective on "the funk"... I am glad the ferry was out of order, those last shots (especially the hotel) were sweet

I'm pretty sure this might come too late for your Newfoundland trip, but for general reference, the Aurora will only be visible (to you or the camera) in the North, especially from such low latitudes. Of course i'm talking about the Northern hemisphere only and this applies to pretty much anywhere south of the Arctic Circle. When you wend to northern Norway, you could see the aurora in almost any direction because you were much closer to the Pole, but at latitudes of about 50+ degrees, you have to have a composition pointing North to have a chance for some northern lights. Furthermore, avoid nights with big moon (the one in your case here would have eclipsed the light coming from the aurora) and, of course, little light pollution (but you already knew this one). One last thing: the Kp index only shows a prediction of how far South the aurora might be visible that particular night; there are much more parameters to follow, but i don't want to get too technical about it here. I was a northern lights guide in Tromso, Norway for a few years and photograph them often and that's why i'm confident to tell you all of these :) Hope you don't mind.

And for higher KP index one better goes to Japan!

This is great advice. I actually cut a portion of me saying this exact thing. Well I said "I think it will only show up in the north but I'm no expert" haha. I cut it because I was rambling too much. I don't mind at all. I love learning! Thanks Horia

I’m so glad you were able to end on a high note! When boring skies set in, taking to the air with you drone and shooting down can be a great alternative! Also those tonal hotel shots were great! Thanks for taking me along!

Good morning Alex 🌈 what amazing structures! And photos! As an artist what do you usually do when you're just not feeling the joy? Persevere or pack it in for the day.

I believe I first saw you in an appearance in a Fototripper video. I feel like you tried hard to keep up with the comedic persona that Gavin is. I so much more like your "normal" personality as portrayed in this video. Nice story line, and it feels so much more genuine...maybe the real you. Just be you.

If there is one thing I try to do, it is just being myself. I think the difference is probably just a case of me being alone, or me being with Gavin. Whom as you can guess definitely brings out the worst in people haha :)

At the 25-26 minute mark you talk about being uninspired and feeling different than you did the prior day. I can't help but think if one of the homeowners was there are those unique structures, you'd have a different feel. I sense that you would like more authentic interactions with the people who live there.

Well no one lives in those sadly, but I do understand your point. Sometimes it's those interactions that give me energy

Buddy you don’t have to be so rude. If you don’t like it then don’t watch it. As someone who is from this area he did a great job.
