I just want to say, your videos have been helping me in not only photo techniques but in inspiration. I worked in the commercial product side for nearly 5 years and realized I hated being stuck in a studio. That’s wasn’t why I fell in love with photography. I wanted photography to help me with life experiences and in turn to use my images for world conservation. Your KZitem channel has been a godsend. Thank you so much!

Hi B and J, I recognize that guest house parking lot in Nelspruit, lovely place. Stayed there last year. Lovely vlog, the braai a the end was on the mark. Hope you get some nice sightings and footage whilst there in the Kruger. Enjoy the Kruger, you timed it well. Kind regards, Duncan South Africa

Having spent half my life, 25 years in South Africa, never got to Kruger, but on my first game drive in the Okavango came across a Leopard and stopped within 5 meters of it, being in an open top Landcruiser it was quite a rush. Saw 6 different Leopard in 4 days.

Badger don't care! Nice you were able to have both photo and non-photo opportunities. I think sometimes having a non-photo opportunity is still really cool and it can be relaxing to just sit back and enjoy without worrying about what sort of photo it would make.

There are a couple of apps that you cam use. Just google 'Kruger Park Sightings'. It will at least get you in the vicinity of the leopards.

Just booked 4 days in Kruger for May of 2019- I’m staying in a safari tent in Skukuza. I have a question- is that’s the 100-400mm L “11” lens? If so, is it worth the price for someone who isn’t a professional? I love wildlife photography but I don’t make my living off it and my eye isn’t all that sharp or discerning, I’ve been looking at the Tamron 100-400mm lens..,it’s 799.00 US$.... I shoot on a 70D Canon and I just got back from the Amazon and the Galápagos Islands and I was using my Canon 70-300mm kit lens it did just fine. Also- do you use that lens for video too? I’ve found that while I love still pictures, I also love video.

You're going to want at least 400mm for Kruger, in my opinion. The Canon 100-400 is amazing. You might also want to look at the Sigma 150-600mm. The Tamron 100-400 is also quite ok for the price.

I have seen leopards multiple times, and in my experience you are unlikely to spot them if you are going 30km/h or faster unless they are somehow in the open.

Awesome! I've never been to Kruger. Charcoal on a braai, that's sacrilege! Dude ask for them some camel thorn, you can cook supper then breakfast time blow the ash off and get bacon and eggs on the go lol. But seriously use some wood for the braai, charcoal is just not the same when in Africa.

I did about 50 game self drives last month and last time I was around these parts in 2017, I have yet to see a Leopard or a Cheetah in the wild for that matter 🤦♂️ I might go to Transfrontier to see cats in a couple of weeks!! Good luck to you, hope you see some.

Great video man, so good to see one of My favorite places again :) Interesting story, my great uncle used to be one of the top leaders for the park, but he was recently murdered while fighting to protect against Ivory poachers. But he left a great story behind.

There just weren't good photo situations at all today. Sure, 600mm helps a lot but a 600mm would have done no good today either
