របាំភួងនារី Robam Phuong Neary Dance
The Phuong Neary Dance accompanied by the music and the melodic song admirably describes the great beauty of a Khmer woman compared to a golden flower. Although she is practical and strong, she is admirable and soft.
Phoung Neary is a dance that is familiar in melody and lyrics to the Celestial Dance (Apsara). Based on documentation from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, this dance was created during the 1950s by Neak Kru Mam Yim Yan.
Costuming: This dance is strict dance for females. While costuming is based on what the dancer has to use. However typical costuming can be similar to the costume of Robam Choun Por or Srey Thaing Kloun, or even as simple as wearing a Aov Lakorn and Chong Kben (Jarabab* preferred)
Jarabab - A type fabric that in woven with patterns. Some fabrics are made from cotton and silk, while cotton jarabab is a cheaper but often used more world wide for dancers and silk jarabab is more expensive and has a long life span up to 40+ years.
