Variety is the spice of life. Too many people ONLY play video games/watch anime. It's a lot more enriching to experience more things, especially if you want to be an artist/creator of some sort. Many artists will tell you that the best artists are the ones with a healthy variety of influences, instead of only their medium.

The amount of content we are buried under each year is insurmountable. It's really hard to remember everything. I used spotify for a long time but then for reasons my account got deleted. I remember *most* of the artists I listened too but I also forgot a lot of some of the coolest songs I've heard. It hasn't been a decade, but now I have no idea how to find these songs again. I miss them. I wish I had them with me for real. It's so easy to lose everything you own on the internet.

be careful about how willing you are to get physical media though lol. I say this as a person who wanted 1 CRT TV to play my retro consoles the way they were designed, and now I have two (one of which has a built-in VCR when I otherwise don't own a VCR so it's somewhat justified) but now I have to stop myself from buying VHS tapes any time I see them while I'm out. I also have a metric shit ton of video games I inherited from friends, who wanted to get rid of them and knew I wouldn't say no lol. Gotta keep yourself in line or else you'll end up like me. Last 6 days of my life have been me coming home from work and trying to downsize and reorganize my closet by getting rid of a bunch of physical media, including the weekend, and I'm still not finished (and no I am not a hoarder by any stretch, just don't have my own place yet). With all this in mind, I am still 100% for physical media. It might be in my way right now, but I'll eventually find someone else who wants/needs something I have and don't need. Physical is and will always be better than the digital age that society wants us to move to imo. It also is more and more reasonable with the more space you have at your disposal which is the biggest hurdle for me right now. Sorting out what I want to keep definitely and what I can maybe buy again for cheap if I need it down the road.

i feel you, my room right now is cluttered with books and game cases and shit that would look a lot nicer if I had more space lol. 100% can be a burden given your living situation, but for me im just imagining how itll all look when I have a nice apartment to space it all out lmao :')

The thing about owning the physical copy of something that you love and inspires you is that its physically there and can motivate you. I have on top of my bookcase five books. The dragonbone chair by Tad Williams Shadow of the torturer by Gene Wolfe Infinite jest by David Foster Wallace The wind-up bird chronicles by Haruki murakami Fear and loathing in las vegas by Hunter S. Thompson Underneath each book is a piece of paper, which read Mervin Peake Jack Vance Kurt vonnegut Franz Kafka F. Scott Fitzgerald. I do this so whenever I'm writing and down on myself I look up at those fice books that humble me due to how amazingly good they are and remind myself that each of them felt the same exact way about the writers they admired and felt humbled by.

this is such a good video!!! So entertaining and i'm very passionate about this topic so i'm glad to see such an informative video speaking on it. I've been growing my collection of physical media through books, comics, cds, and more recently DVDs ever since streaming has become a bigger waste of money. Love the animations and I hope to see your channel grow
