A way around the collision issue is to have a custom collision mesh that is parented to the monkey but hidden and the physics are interacting with that and not the actual monkey head, it’s useful for cloth simulations as you can get some really funky weirdness when cloths intersect complicated meshes

hint: ALT+D to duplicate is better if you want to save rendering time, but keep in mind that objects will be linked, if you modify one, you'll modify all of them. While SHIFT+D, allows you to modify them individually.

Thank you for the feedback :) 3D integration (e.g. the effect in the intro) isn't an easy task and not something I'd try to cover in a single tutorial - I am currently planning out a whole series to cover how that can be achieved. You are simply one of the best in teaching people about blender software. My question might be stupid but i am wondering Pixar/Disney movie vs 2d/3d video games ? I get the basics of how you can add physic to your animations with blender. But i am curious how do video game scenes that depend on the input of a game controller/keyboard know how to change with character changes ,...etc. In blender from what i have seen so far you just render out the animation and watch the 2d/3d movie. But is there away to change scene in real time and render in realtime to make video games????

Great Tutorial. Really Great. Several times during the video you put in what I will call captioning at the bottom of the screen. For example at 8 minutes and 44 seconds into this video the captioning said, “Setting Up Collisions (Monkey Head Grid).” This is a useful and thoughtful thing for people who are reviewing your tutorial for the second or third time and are looking for that part. + The only thing I hope that you will do differently would be to put this captioning at the top rather then at the bottom because when I scroll through the video the bottom part of the screen is obscured. It was a really great video. I am looking forward to the sequel, i.e. PHYSICS IN BLENDER 2.8 FOR ABSOLUTE RETARDS which would go into the Physics in a little more depth but still moving along at the same easy pace as these first video. I would love it if you did. Thanks.
