i am fascinated by this race! seing the racers take that turn after the mausefalle gave me goosebumps as a fellow ski lover.

I've done 100kph on skis, things get interesting on skis when your going 60mph, slowing down is increasingly more difficult to do, your like a run away freight train at that speed imagine being committed to that speed, holding on to it.....

(please excuse errors, im a newb physics student... plz correct if i am wrong) So in order to have 10 gs, you'd need a centripetal acceleration of 9g=88.2 m/s^2, you'd need to have a curvature (can't find a better word for this) with radius r=a/v^2=88.2/36^2 = 6.8*10^-2 m (6.8 cm) (130 km is approximately 36 m/s)? That doesn't seem likely at all...

kzitem.info/news/bejne/p4160KeekXiakmkm58s How compression could be equal to 10g (800kg for the average pro skier)? FYI, Squat record = 575kg
