@@donlasagnotelamangia the keyboard is a piano put through a mellotron. a mellotron is basically a series of tape machines that play an individual tape of a note. a flute being played through a mellotron can be heard in the beatles song "strawberry fields forever". from what I can tell, Lena Raine is playing the piano put through a mellotron from a sample library. the keyboard Lena's playing on is made by native instruments, which have a piece of software called kontakt. kontakt comes with a factory library of sounds, one of them being a mellotron piano.

Okay so I think there's so much going on i want do them timestamps. 0:00 Classic, Original, great (muting the piano :O) 1:09 Damn, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and Lena's synth together sound damn good. 1:31 The whole buildup before to get to this, so good. 1:50 And now we get some great harmonies with sax/clarinet, just adding few notes makes this melody sound so much more great. 2:39 THE ORGAN comes along! DAMN those ripped up moments, with pauses , broken down. 3:00 Organ Solo, so jazzy so good. (Drums at 3:20 to build it up more, damn), also part at 3:34 - 3:43 3:45 Lena Raine's solo synth part. The fact that she uses legato, accompanied with strings is just great and then the piano at 4:08 comes along with just 3 notes. all together so calming and intriguing. 4:20 Piano, plain piano, jazzy, classic, simple, but when you thought it was over... 4:38 AGAIN! organ comes again, more funky rythm, building up to... 5:00 everything again! the big finish with every instrument, Lena with her synth, ma man on everything else. 5:42 amazing end.

It's really interesting to me to hear that, even in a collaboration with a jazz musician, Lena's personal touch still shines through from her other works. You can totally hear the same instrumentation in her sections in this arrangement that was used in the Celeste soundtrack (The synth and light piano). It's obviously her song, to begin with, but the fact you can identify her "sound" there is really cool!
