I made a video a combination of Pilates and Physical therapy treatment to ease knee pain with swelling, focusing on the Quadriceps due to weakness and most specifically the Vastus Medialis Obliquus (VMO) due Osteoarthritis, injury, twisting, weakness and other type of high repetitive stress on your knees from sports or workout routine such as deep squats and lunges.

The possible culprit is your Quadriceps muscles that causes patellar tracking that places and shifts your Patella (knee cap ) out of alignment due to weakness of the VMO. This is the gentle progression utilizing the elastic band and if these exercises are too difficult, please do this one first • Easy Pilates and Physi... a follow exercises utilizing a soft ball or pillow with 4 easy gentle stretches and strengthening to Fix your knee pain. I will demonstrate and discuss the anatomy of the knee the stretching and strengthening and do this video first
for at least a week before embarking to this progression. With this video there is a nice warm up first, without the elastic band, then progressing with elastic band around your thighs , then the 4 types of progression on the bridging, , butterfly and cooling down I will demonstrate a lovely stretch of hamstring, gentle effleurage and patellar mobilization techniques to help the inflammation and swelling.
This video is about a treatment plan stretching, strengthening supine (lying on your back) and side lying positions tarteting the quadriceps specifically the VMO, If some of the positions and exercises are too difficult, then do only those that you could tolerate.
I incorporated the Pilates based and Physical therapy exercises combination.
