Thank you so much you really helped me out. I literally have been up late now for 4 hours after my first ever driver fitting trying to decide if I'm going to go with the amazing G430 set up I swung today, or my original plan of the G425 with similar low/low stiff shaft for under $400. I really liked the G430, however it's a bit steep in price and I only budgeted $400 for a driver as a young father with so many priorities I really am stressing the decision, I don't like spending this much on a hobby for myself but this has been a long time in the making (I've used the same Ben Hogan Driver and shaft for 14 years now as a 4-8 handicap, avg 280-290yd. with it) BUT after this I feel like I'm going to just go for it one time and get the G430! Hey And. I'd love to see a table of your dry-ball data from all the drivers you have tested, along with shaft and setting details. Your swing speed and strike consistency are pretty representative of many of us fellow average golfers so it would be interesting to see which drivers were longer, lower spinning, higher launching, tighter dispersion, or whatever characteristic we are looking for. I know different days produce different swings and you didn't use the same shaft or settings each time but we're an educated lot and can perform some critical analysis of the data 😉

Very interesting analysis Andy. So I guess, Ping is right to claim that their new club should increase the carry distance by about 7 yards (6 yards being close enough). Usually these kinds of claims by manufacturers are exagerated.

In this test it was I suppose but for me the gains are more across the board in terms of data

@@TheAverageGolfer Indeed, lower spin rate, lower launch angle, increased ball speed, lower peak high, etc. These all go in the right direction and with a better sound as premium.

I do not care in the least how it sounds. I look for length and straightness of my drives.

Please show dispersion, its way more important then 2 differnet clubs only 3-5 yards apart

They are both extremely forgiving clubs so in another video I watched it showed they were very similar in that respect. Ping has managed to get a few more yards out of this newer version and dampen the sound a bit

It doesn’t matter if the stats are the same…. The G425 was the worst sounding golf club ever made. The 430 is finally now on par with everyone else in terms of feel/ sound.

I truly do not understand how sound effect results. If it works, I don't care what is sound like:)

Why didn't you adjust the settings to back up what you were saying about the optimum set for you. Takes all of 2 min. Would have good to see dispersion comparison. Very weak review. Sorry.

Lots of golfers including Ping themselves who went to huge efforts to change the sound, if it wasn’t an issue why would they bother? Also read the comments, lots reference the horrific sound of the G425

The noise of the 425 is an entirely subjective view. It isn’t a major problem and only gets whined about by a few KZitem reviewers. I’ve never heard any club players moan about it being too loud. I reckon KZitem reviewers jump on the bandwagon re perceived loudness because Peter Finch said it is.

Other than the complaining about the sound of each club, its a good review. Some people like the sound. Sound doesn’t matter to me or anyone I know.

If you had ever hit the old Nike square back in the day on a golf course you'd probably retract that statement it was horrible sounding.
