I’m glad yours is holding up. I also like the mixer aside from the cheap build quality. Do the research, the upfaders going out is a common issues with this model (S7) and fir the price point, the average person should be able to swap out the upfader like in other pro mixers. This mixer (S7) is not the case. Upfaders are soldered on and the entire circuitry inside the mixer is built cheaply. Do the research and you will see. Glad yours is not causing issues.

They’re not even magnetic faders they’re cheap slider faders. They are very easy to replace if you know how to use a soldering iron and small screwdriver set but you shouldn’t have to maybe in 10 years the more you wiggle back-and-forth to post on the fader that actually is doing small amounts of damage to the contacts that make the connection works pretty much like a potentiometer except you’re sliding back-and-forth instead of turning it like the knobs for volume controls

You’re absolutely correct if you don’t do that for a living as an electronics repair technician . I’m lucky enough to do all that since I’ve been a young kid been doing it for over 30 years and I’ve been DJing since I’ve been about 10. so old with experience for many different brand mixers. going inside deep doing many different repairs or I could practically build one by now. And most of them are all built. Generally the same but it all comes down to how high-quality the actual raw boards are from the start. How good the solder joints are how good are the capacitors resistors there’s many cheap manufactures out there might look good or it could be from a company that makes good hire and spend more money and get quality type equipment.. but then you buy some of their entry-level equipment and you’re going to be upset at times that’s why I like Rane. Before were bought out by denon inmusic. At least all they kept their quality with the help of Denon, who are pretty experienced at making high-quality electronics. And they still do get designed here in the US in Rhode Island were the original factory was but of course they’re being manufactured and built in china which they were always made in the USA and they were made pretty much by hand all their mixers. There’s a huge difference in quality it just gets worse nowadays.
