there are slotted brackets available in which you can slide PCB's, for testing purposes in you rig these would be even easier to use!

What might even be more useful is, to extend all of those Molex connector cords so you can connect the boards outside of the chassis a bit, and have enough slack to access the tops and bottoms of each PCB for making voltage or signal readings while still being in circuit. It might not be too hard to source some male and female Molex plugs, and then just have to add some cable, and crimp on pin and sleeve connectors.

I have a question about measuring and setting the BIAS Digital Multimeter true RMS value and Average value digital multimeter, old analog meters used to be used to set BIAS parameters, so now we use modern meters to change the BIAS parameters to other ones?
@NovaluxStereophonic

True RMS comes into play with AC signals but bias and offset are both the DC realm and old vs new meter should not make a difference. I hope this answers your question.

Are you sure you’re not misidentifying conformal coating as flux residue?
@NovaluxStereophonic

I am not sure and it’s completely possible that I am mistaken. In any case the original joints do not look like they benefitted much from whatever is there.

@@NovaluxStereophonic I didn't mean to come off as 'that guy' who posts comments intended to demean or insult, so I hope it wasn't taken that way. I actually have a question on this. Do you think reapplying conformal coating it is a good idea since that's how it left the factory? I would not find it hard to believe that there are some formulations out there which, like some glue used to hold caps in place, goes conductive over time. Thanks for posting such great content. I find your videos an excellent resource and I admire the way you work. My lab has never looked that tidy!!

@@therealdjryanNo offense taken. I learn a great deal through comments. My main conclusion on this topic is that the benefits of being able to clearly see all of the solder joints and not have a sticky board outweigh the protection that an original coating may or may not offer.
