Aaah we used to be friends until you said you dont like seattle pipe club 😂 Great videos brother. Quiet Nights is king in English in my opinion. Also, i dont like maple at all but something about Autumn Evening that i cant stay away from. Amazing blend.

Cool choices. I’m on the West Coast and I smoke all types of blends year round. Nightcap, Quiet Nights, Artisans blend, Pirate Kake and many more. University Flake and Irish Flake along with Aged Burley Flake I always have nearby. Keep your videos coming, when you have the time!👍🏽

Great video, I appreciate the discussion, I am working building a regular rotation..Star of the East is my number one, just got a pound of it.... creamy ,smokey mmm...had a bowl of Quiet Nights last evening also excellent, and Stonehenge Flake tonight, after one bowl I will say it is one of the best blends that have actually married the tobaccos together in such a subtle way, very intriguing...I have not smoked a lot of aromatics, but Autumn Evening is on the list, I have smoked Sutliff Vanilla Custard, and does seem to hold the flavor pretty well through the bowl...if your looking for a solid light English Dunhill 965 match in bulk is a good one, realitively cheap too..!! Thanks again.

Gawith's Winter Time Flake is a cold weather favorite for me. Yes, I agree that Quiet Nights is very close to Penzance, yet easier to find and much more reasonably priced.

Nice video. I will think about. I was putting together my pots according the type of blend but I think I have to make a smal new line separately by season s. Nice video

Fall last about 1 month in Wisconsin. Leave change in one week the second week they’re all on the ground. Then 2 weeks of 50 degree weather then it snows

Lol, I noticed that in my short time in Wisconsin. Much of Texas has the same issue, simply flipped.

Good recommendations. I lean toward heavier blends year round-Star of the East is always in rotation-but I think I up the Latakia when it cools off. Another to try in that vein would be C&D Byzantium, though that’s another that’s always on the menu for me.

We have another 5 weeks of 100+ temps here. This fall I'm focussing on dark fired kentucky blends. Orlik dark strong, old dark fired, etc. Maybe some HH burley flake. Saving the latakia blends for winter. All 2 weeks of it. Most of August was 110+ so looking forward to fall.

Im kind of the exact opposite, I prefer all cakes or plug style. I grew up chewing my grandfathers plug tobacco and now prefer it in my pipe tobaccos.

@TheSpurgeonPiper If you could choose a more attractive way to display or cellar your pipe tobaccos, what would you envision? Amber, Cobalt Blue and Emerald Green glass protect things like natural organic oils, fragrances, and tobacco from degrading from UV light penetration. Thanks! Lisa

The Seattle Pipe Club blends do tend to have a vinegaryness that can be off putting at times. I found it especially notable in Mississippi River. But it doesn't always bother me though.

Agreed. I actually traded away all of the MR I had because of that, despite so many loving that blend. I have a tin of Plum Pudding, which I haven't tried, but that will probably be the last SPC blend I spend money on.

SpurgeonPiper: although plum pudding does have that particular tin note, it really isn't prevalent in the smoking. Actually plum pudding is awesome! It's almost too good! To be honest though, I've only tried three of their blends thus far; Mississippi River, Plum Pudding, and Yakima Valley. Only the River turned me off. The Yakima Valley is also really nice, but I'm just not into burly blends at the moment.

Thanks for the great selections for the coming Fall! I’m in wayyyyyy SW Florida so we don’t really have much Fall here either but I plan to retire somewhere where the Fall and winter seasons are more prominent! I always enjoy your posts my brother! Come by and visit my channel anon!!! I’m a HUGE Tolkien nerd like you.......and was geeking out a little in my last video talking about a new aro blend called SWEET GALENAS from the Storyteller’s Pipe Shop. IT IS AMAZING!!! @@TheSpurgeonPiper ShirePiper is just outside Waco. Pipes, Tobacco and Whiskey is in Austin. Not sure if you watch either of their content, though I enjoy both. Shire Piper had a near death experience that he shared in a video not too long back, and just hearing his retelling just about stopped my heart. I'm also in Austin, actually grew up here. It's changed significantly over the years. Anyways, really enjoy listening to all the locals while enjoying a bowl in the evening. Thanks for your contributions to the pipe smoking community.
