I'm crying right now. I've been unable to train for 3 weeks and I was afraid I had ruined my back. Lifting is so important to me and I've become depressed after only 3 weeks. This has relieved almost ALL of my pain. Thank you so much!! I'm happy I'll be back in the gym lifting a few days from now

I'm here now, try this last night, work great and woke up this to do some more and thought I try to twist the upper part of my body to the left, felt good and started turning my body to the right and I almost passed out because of the pain, all the pain come back. Now laying in bed hurting. I'll try later to go back to the legs stretches which did work until I turn my body. Thanks for the info, Note: People don't twist the upper body does Not work just makes it worse.

My doc showed me the same stretch, instead lay on your back cross your leg like on the video then reach around both of your thigh area with your hands clasped from underneath and pull and hold for 30 seconds.its hard to explain but u might find this stretch online to get the idea. But that way u aren't sitting.

Try standing next to a wall (for balance) and pick up the foot of the side where the pain is behind you--so your legs look like the number 4. Hold that foot in your hand with your other hand on the wall for balance for at least 30 seconds. While holding that pose, about 10 seconds in, notice where the discomfort is, and imagine breathing into it, with all that oxygen flowing right to that area that needs a stretch, and on the exhale, see if you can stretch it a little deeper. Repeat at the 20 second point, and release at 30 seconds. Stretches should be a little uncomfortable, but never painful.

Wait. Why is this titled piriformis stretch? Piriformis is a deep lateral rotator. When you put your feet on the contralateral knee shouldn't your hip be in an abduction and lateral rotation? Why would you go lateral rotation when the piriformis is already tight and need to be stretched? Shouldn't you go medial rotation and adduction? I'm confused. Help me out lol

I do baseball workouts and we lift weight which I’m a small guy and I’m not a big weight lifting pro . And my back is absolutely killing me to the point where it hurts and can’t even put shorts on cause I have to bend over. PLEASE HELP

Ur doing it wrong, get one on a table ,so instead of doing it on your leg do it on a table,then dont move your hips to one side more than the other
