Honestly syndrome really isn’t as sympathetic as some make him out to be. Yes he got turned down by his hero but Mr Incredible obviously turned him down for his own safety and did the responsible thing in letting the cops take him home to his parents. Also Mr Incredible saved his life by removing the bombs from his rocket boots. Me personally I would be more grateful that the hero i looked up to saved my life rather than plot for revenge.
@masterzombie161

guillermo acosta I blame the government’s decision to hide the hero’s. While he was at a crossroads in his fragile state as a kid. Hero’s being banned was the perfect opportunity for him to take advantage. He wanted to show that the humans are not to be underestimated and it consumed his mindset. In a way that is sympathetic, but he became a monster he originally was supposed to be fighting against. All that knowledge, and power just to say “I told you so.”
@strawberrysoulforever8336

Really, Syndrome's still a kid on the inside. He kind of stopped where he was when Mr Incredible rejected him, making him both hate and love supers at the same time. I think he desperately wants the admiration the supers get, but after that rejection, he doesn't know how to deal with it and ends up eaten up with bitterness and hurt.
@Nameless82284

It was a cape not boots that had a bomb in it. Maybe it was foreshadowing the whole "No capes" thing. Also Syndrome should have at least gone over being rejected. I once got rejected too around his age and I'm over it now. Besides Syndrome complaints about how Mr. Incredible ruined his future yet Syndrome mentions that his rich due to his inventions. Also I'm pretty sure Mr. Incredible suffer enough from getting sued and being illegal. Also he was stuck in a dead end job, gain weight, and totally depressed. I'm sure Mr. Incredible went through enough. In fact if Syndrome didn't interfered the super heroes wouldn't be legal again.

@CCaster2000

@@melissacooper4482 I found a way as to how Ernesto escaped. At least one of the factors. So Grandma Coco is 100 years old in the movie and said movie takes place presumably in 2017 so she would've been born in 1917. Coco was around ages 4-6 when Hector left with Ernesto. The thing is we don't know how long the two men were gone so we'll say a little under a year. So it was the early-mid 1920's when Hector was killed by Ernesto. I'm not too knowledgeable on the capability of forensics back then but I can assume that the police found no connection with Hector and Ernesto when they found the former's body, nor did Hector have any ID on him, if he did then his wife would've found out that her husband was killed leading to her never hating him and music. Along with that, if she knew Ernesto then she could pin him as a suspect.

The thing about Stinky Pete is, I don’t consider his personality in the first half of the film to be that disingenuous. He did seem to have a genuine fondness for Woody and the rest of the round up gang, and truly believed he was doing the right thing for them; his perspective was formed by being left in his box for all his life. When he gave his motive rant near the end, the level of how unwanted and unloved he must have felt all those years was palpable. He saw the museum in Japan as his last chance at some fulfilment and meaning in his life. Ultimately, it’s simply the fact the he was forcing his beliefs on Woody and co. as well as being manipulative which makes him something of a villain.

17:55 I think Ernesto deserves more evil points than that. The main reason: the FIRST time he tries to kill Miguel (when he threw him in the hole so that he'd run out of time and die)--was when he thought Miguel was his OWN grandchild. Even most evil people love their family and would do anything to protect them. To kill your own children to protect your fame--that's a whole new level of evil, and makes him the most evil villain yet. Even Mor'du went mad because of a spell. Hopper, despite being abusive to his brother, probably wouldn't have killed him--not only because the term "I'll kill you" in American English isn't usually used literally, but that he genuinely loves his late mother. And Syndrome was someone who was going for revenge and was obsessed with proving that heroes and their "powers" weren't that great. But Ernesto? He's scary. He goes from honestly and lovingly doting on Miguel (who he believes is his grandson) and caring about his best interests--to immediately deciding that he has to get rid of him, even if it's his own blood, as a precaution to protect his image. And he's quickly okay with it. He has no desire for revenge driving him, no spell influencing his thoughts, no family bonds strong enough to keep anything in check. Just evil.
@OwsiSan

Agree. I also think Ernesto should be the number 1 evil. He literally kills his best friend and 'thought to be' family member. Treating people who have personal relations to you like that is just evil. At least for Syndrome, Mr Incredible was just an idol, and Mirage was like a staff/friends with benefits?, not as personal kind of connection as a best friend or 'family' member

@@joshuaagee-bass4049 Sorry, someone who tries to kill their own children / grandchildren is #1 evil. Even evil, genocidal dictators throughout history would be willing to kill more people (even children) over their own families because they're emotionally removed from strangers. But your own family? That takes a special kind of evil. Syndrome may be #2 on the list, but Ernesto gets #1. As far as saving Miguel from the pool--it didn't hurt him to NOT save him. It's easy to do the right thing and be concerned when your own self isn't on the line and when you've got an audience that will praise you. But one's true colors come out when there ISN'T an audience watching your actions and your own self is on the line.

couple of placements i had issue with: - if sid is just a child whose only 'crimes' beyond abuse of seemingly inanimate objects and is likely in a bad home, he seems like he should absolutely be lower than a grown man willingly giving living creatures away to a kid who kills them every time, oblivious or not - i think you kinda missed the entire point with mordu's death and the general thing with the bear curse in general, which is that he lost his actual conscience and 'humanity' a long time ago i haven't seen brave in a long time and a lot of my memory of it's foggy, but even i remember that the main conflict was the risk of the mother-turned-bear losing her personality and regressing to a feral animal if she didn't get turned back, which is exactly what happened to mordu a _long_ time ago and why he thanks them for killing him - they were setting his soul free from a feral state he'd been trapped where he wasn't even really in control of himself essentially, he's not even really accountable for his body count, and none of it seems to have been on his own will

I have a theory Wall-E theory: What if AUTO is just a tragic hero? Yes, he is following orders. The orders were to keep humans away from planet Earth because it is polluted and inhabitable. He thinks he is doing something good by keeping them away from earth. When he sees Wall-E and Eve with the plant, he sees them as a threat because they have something that would bring the humans back to the earth. AUTO sees Wall-E and Eve as the villains. He might even see the Captain as a villain because the captain wants to go back to earth, which is going against AUTO's directive. So, yeah. AUTO is not entirely a villain, in theory. He tried to be the hero, but failed to realize. He is an emotionless machine, after all. (Though a majority of ya'll still hate him because he tried to kill poor cute Wall-E two times)

As a bonafide obsessor, lemme take a stab at this: Ghost > Vulture > Whiplash > Helmut Zemo > Kaecilius > Yellowjacket > Abomination > Justin Hammer > Killmonger > Yon-Rogg > Ultron > Mysterio > Iron Monger > Aldrich Killian > Loki > Alexander Pierce > Malekith > Red Skull > The Supreme Intelligence > Grandmaster > Thanos > Ronan the Accuser > Ego > Hela > Dormammu Just to explain a few key ones: Least evil was a toss-up between Ghost and Vulture. On the one hand, GHOST is a killer, but considering that she is literally dying she's the most understandable of all the main villains. She also seems to be redeemed at the end, as the post-credits has Ant-Man actively helping her to stay alive. VULTURE never really plans on killing anyone (only killing Shocker accidentally), so he has that over Ghost, but he also doesn't really care or regret this murder and has to know his arms dealing is assisting in many more murders. Still, he's one of the more sympathetic villains of the MCU. ULTRON was one of the hardest to place. On the one hand, his plan is to wipe out all life on Earth. One the other, he was literally born yesterday and immediately deals with an existential crisis. I placed him fairly low because I see his MCU depiction as more of an angry child with too much power than a fully reasonable sane person. LOKI was also hard to place because he changes so much in each movie. He even gives his life attempting to stop Thanos. But despite this, he's still a dictator who constantly schemes to gain more power, has a kill count in at least the hundreds (probably more), and even usurped his own father for rule over Asgard. RED SKULL marks kind of a turning point in this list (well really Malekith does, but who cares about Malekith). Being that Red Skull is literally a Nazi who actively and remorsely wants to commit genocide, it's hard to imagine anyone being more evil than him. But really remorseless genocide is a pretty common thing in the MCU, and while Red Skull IS the most evil HUMAN villain, there are many more alien characters who commit similarly atrocities on even larger scales, and that's the pretty much the motto from that point out. I might get some hate for putting THANOS as high as I did. True, he did kill half of all life in the universe, but he does seem to truly believe his insane motivations. He also legitimately mourns the loss of Ebony Maw, which is more than a lot of these guys can say, and after he commits his snap he's willing to disappear into obscurity and has no real ambition to control anything else. Still, he's a self-righteous genocidal maniac, who also kidnaps and tortures children like Gamora and Nebula, so it's more about the few below him having no truly redeeming qualities. I almost gave EGO the bottom spot. Yeah he's a nice guy and he wants to be a father to Peter and he TRULY loved Meredith Quill... and that's why he killed Meredith Quill, obsessing over his desire to make the entire universe into himself, eliminating all life everywhere. He also truly gave life a chance, attempting to fit in, and decided millennia ago (if not billions of years ago) that he didn't like life. He's a spiteful angry genocidal evil. And he killed Peter's mother and smashed his walkman. The one thing keeping him from bottom spot is my belief that he does feel remorse, and may have subconsciously held back against the Guardians (note Mantis' purpose: to let him sleep at night). I feel somewhat bad giving DORMAMMU the bottom spot, as he hasn't really done that much in the MCU so far. But of all the characters who play as Devil stand-ins in the comics, Dormammu is the only to maintain that analogy in the movies, and where else can you rank the actual Devil? He also does want to emerge into the universe and transform everything into his cancerous dark dimension, so.... pretty evil yeah.

when Syndrome survive the Incredibles ending, he survives as little more than Burnt Corpse that later kept alive by Zero-Point powered life support system to have his brain used as Mainframe CPU for ACME Corporation

This is a great list, but I personally think Randall should be number one the most evil. Think of it, this guy designed the scream extractor, basically a child torture device, was going to kidnap children from their families, then torture them until they were killed by the machine, then go gather more children. And he enjoyed it! Do you remember that part in the film where he smiles as boo is about to get the scream extractor? That’s hella dark

Most of this list is good, but I would have put Ernesto higher on the list. He murdered his best friend, who he KNEW had a family and a CHILD waiting for him at home. Causing this poor family heartbreak and anger for GENERATIONS, just look at the psychological effects it had on poor Coco during the last years of her life! That makes him one of the most despicable and monstrous villains Pixar has ever made in my opinion

NGL the chef is actually the best guy in the movie. He doesn't do anything wrong, and is literally in the right

That scene in the incredibles where elastigirl is looking at the screen showing all of the dead or disappeared heroes of old is actually really well done for a kid's movie. Like that scene could fit into a crime drama for adults. Also, I truly believe monster's inc is a great film as well, and I put it up against a lot of really good films for adults. Pixar is pretty neat.
