Amy, thank you for the new, single video with chapters to learn PI! Making this my new bookmark. I kept re-watching your previous OSC pt. 1 & 2 to learn PI. I also like the additional tips.

I am so glad you like it. I just learned how to add chapters. Wish I knew they were that easy to do before. Merry Christmas!

Learned a lot of new things today! My image of Thor's Helmet is coming along nicely now. Thanks for this two part tutorial, Amy. You make it look easy, but I know you worked hard to get it all documented not to mention the effort to learn all you have about PI.

I've picked up some great tips from this video, Amy. Thank you so much. I particularly likes your approach to noise reduction and also the creation of your star masks. I'm going to go back to my own workflow and see what elements from your process I can introduce into my images. I use a Altair 183c fan cooled camera which is several years old now, and being only fan cooled, can still produce a fair amount of noise. I'm going to see if your methods help me out. Thanks once again for the tips. Much appreciated 🙂

@@AmyAstro I hope you don't mind, but I put a link to your KZitem channel in my own little blog as reference to where I got help from to produce one of my images as I only think it's fair to say where I get my information from. If it is a problem, just say so I can remove the reference. Thanks once again, and I hope you have a great new year.

There is something I don't understand with this video. At 8:35 the movie jumps at a critical point and at around 09:33, the grey image has a green line next to the label at the top left of it. Then all of a sudden this has gone. I couldn't see an explanation for this change and it seems critical.

What will happen to Deerlick now that Rivian is building a plant out there?

Morgan and Walton County is a good distance away. I imagine they will be fine. The owners keep an eye out for developments that may hurt the dark site. They are very active people in protecting the dark site.
