Iroeky, you're a real piece of work. I pointed out to you that the PKM is a GPMG/MMG not an LMG. That is why it is "heavy for modern lmg standards". Because it isn't one. Neither is the m60.

i would expect those barrels to be massively corroded...those Cambodians don't seem to take to much care for their guns so i wouldn't expect them to know that all 7.62x54R made in early 1900's -1980's is corrosive ammo and after you fire it you MUST clean the firing chamber along with the barrel and bolt assembly within 7 days or the salt mixture within the primer of said rounds will start to eat away at your gun. :P otherwise yes the PKM is a great LMG. just too heavy and complex is all.

+iroeky j PKM isnt complex at all really, it is in its barebones a flipped over AK action. Probably the best contemporary LMG design. Ergonomics are arguable though.

It's also one of the lightest lmg out there
@iroekyjHD

***** actually no...lol its 19.97 lbs. Which is heavy for modern lmg standards. Even some world war two lmgs were lighter. Its just barrely lighter than the M60 which was renowned for its heavy weight.

Hey steve, what sort of pricings do you get? i went to a range in phnom phen that a tuk tuk driver took us too and they asked for $50 for 25 rounds for the ak. seems way to expensive
@steveleeilikeguns
8 жыл бұрын
+goofiegoofball It is expensive but if you spend more money you can get a way better deal. I can get rounds for around a buck each but i usually take a group with me that spends thousands so I always get a great deal. If your only there to experience a few guns and shoot a few rounds they wont generally budge on price but $40 for 30 rounds should be doable.

1:30 "They have the reliability of an AK" Fun fact: they actually are AKs! They're just flipped upside down to support belt feeding.
@robsrampage1

Fun Fact: The PKM is actually totally different to the AK47. They are not AK's 'fun fact'! as they dont have a semi-auto capability, and they are only belt fed. They are nothing like an AK. The PKM is a machine gun that has the 'same reliability as an AK47', as stated in the comment.

Why do you like M60 better? I carried and used M60. It earned its name, "pig." Considered worst MG issued to US military, except for Chauchat. PKM and M60 are opposite ends of spectrum for reliability. BTW---USA imports lamb and beef from OZ. Why not kangaroo? I like it---steaks, fillets, kanga bangas, mince(kangaroo chili) and jerky. Maybe I should start a kangaroo farm here?
