In this video i show you the end result method of my experiments on smoothing PLA prints with acetone.
Yes you will need some extra equipment for this alongside your safety gear but i really hate sanding so lets go!

Cheaper induction heaters usually only go to 1800 watts, which is still fine, it will just take a little longer for the acetone to warm up.

Use only induction heaters! do NOT use gas stove tops or electric stove tops!
Acetone is extremely flammable so no open flames or glowing hot objects!
Use a stainless steel pot fitted for induction heater use:
