1:15:00 the conversation about "secret jewish medics" is real, its an organization called Hatzalah. They act as first responders, getting free emergency medical assistance to whoever needs it, on a mostly volunteer basis. Also they often show up much sooner than regular first responders typically. Havent dealt with them myself, but they seem like a neat lil group of ppl

I don't know anything about theatre (my favorite musical is HSM-- and that was on DVD), but I love hearing you guys's talk about theatre! It's fascinating how knowledgable you all are on the topic and to hear your critiques and comments that go beyond the casual. Feels like free access to whatever the musical theatre/comedic equivalent of JSTOR is

1:03:10 I did my study abroad in Jerusalem. I'm tall, blonde, kind of conventionally germanic handsome and, apparently, I must read as gay or bi. I was walking in city center, where I liked to go for a late night coffee alone, and an orthodox guy walked up to me and, very directly (which is saying a lot considering how direct gay men can be about sex), asked me to come to a nearby public bathroom with him to bone. I was so surprised, like, wasn't he worried about someone he knows seeing this interaction? I said no, since payot don't do much for me, but sometimes I think of him and hope he's well and living a healthy life... the other strange thing was that there was a popular app that I, and others used, and I was surprised he was approaching people in the street instead of just using the Mediterranean grindr equivalent.

South and sex: They have to let you know, but they also have to let you know they’re appropriately uncomfortable with it. Same with ladies swearing. Say the forbidden word, then mug (mock) shame. That way you’re relatable but also socially acceptable. 😬

What was the point of this guest idk seems like they have some issues just attacking people for what they are comfortable and not comfortable with maybe they are the problem and not the other way around seemed like was like why not everyone wants to be enveloped with sec it’s not the only thing about life and sex shops are pretty seedy and expensive maybe talk about the commercialization of it. A lot of times seems like they chose not to comment on things this person said. Can we get some interesting guests like the Magic chick again? Or maybe Jacque the whipper would come on? He’s a performer?

1:18:29 this is why you NEVER go to the police. Help people by asking if they’re okay and if there’s no response, find medical help. Find people medical help, never get the police, as that only puts people in more danger. That being said I can empathize with what you did Russel and I appreciate you trying to help and do the right thing. I hope you can be kind and compassionate with yourself about that ❤️🩹🫶
