Very impressive, especially since Rebeka was sight-reading the role. I saw her in New York in William Tell, she is a marvel. I've seen Domingo so many times since the 1970s. I'm not sure I agree with the baritone roles, but he is certainly a towering figure in the music world.

There is too much movement making it really hard to watch. The camerperson is clearly doting on closeups of Domingo thereby missing out on some of the the interaction between the singers. Sometimes the camera just wanders aimlessly. There is a better video of the same duet shot at a more distant perspective. The stationary shot of that video perfectly captures both singers and the conductor plus the violin soloist in the back making great music with all the interaction between the artists and is much easier to watch.

LOL! Nothing positive about the singing ? Now you should hear and see the marvel that is Marina Rebeka's Thaïs she sang last month (with audience) in Opéra de Monte-Carlo. It was broadcasted last night on FranceTv (Culturebox) and will be available for a while. It is possible to watch it from abroad with some apps. Wonderful!!!

Agreed. Rebeka is the real thing. Domingo may be singing a baritone role, but he is not a baritone!
