Great tips Laura😁🎄 I just sorted out my car ( windscreen wiper liquid, washed car with protective spray against salt, changed summer to winter tires and had lights changed.. Two went in the last few weeks) Not in prep to travel (We are stuck in Germany), but due to winter/snow season. I also did Xmas dinner prep this last weekend... I cooked and mashed swede, made mince pies and made stuffing and put it all in the freezer. This weekend for 3rd Advent we are making sweets, driving around looking a Christmas lights, decorating the Christmas tree and watching a Christmas movie. I also have everything bought for Xmas period except fresh stuff I need to buy just before Xmas... Because I am working until the 22nd December! and on the 23rd I want to relax with the kids. I also have all presents wrapped 😊.. I start with everything in September when things appear in the shop, reduces stress and spreads out cost over several months. I have so much work from mid-Oct until mid-Feb.. I don't need Xmas stress. I do what you also suggested.. . When I see things the kids will like throughout the year I buy it.. These are great for their Advent calendar and Christmas Nicolas (German) and Santa (British) sacks... The main presents I only buy near the event.. Xmas, bday etc because they change their minds... But that is usually just one thing because they put all the money from everyone together to get eg one of the big expensive Lego sets (we have set money amounts that each of us give eg what the grandparents give, my sister (the Auntie) gives etc).. So that makes it easy for all the grandchildren.

We bought wine for Christmas recently in the Sainsburys buy 6 get 25% off and my partner was worried that it had eaten into quite a chunk of our weekly food budget until I remembered I had already budgeted for alcohol within our Christmas budget 👍 we're so used to having to be prepared by the first weekend in December because of travelling all over the country to visit our family but we obviously can't do that this year. We're so used to being prepared that we still are and so it's quite nice to spend December relaxing at home for the first time! X

Tip # 9 for saving your money, if your rent is too high ask your landlord if they can lower it, if not, seek out shelter in a different area in which you can afford to live.

My son’s loves the music ones. He has possible SEN and can’t concentrate on stories. That being said I’ve brought him the Peppa pig one for Xmas to try get him listening. If they love music and being read too, I’d recommend. Very durable.

Yes we still have ours and they like it. We need to get some new tonies though as they're a bit over the ones we had but only because they've listened so many times! It's a good thing because you can just buy new ones to add on and it's like new xx
