I finally got around to making a flip top stand for my Ryobi planer and other ryobi sander that was just sitting on my bench not being used. The goal was to have the outfeed table on the planer at a height of 34 7/8", and so that was the way I calculated the plans from there. I am happy to report, that I measured it after I put the planer on its side of the stand, and the height is 34 7/8". :)
That height is just over the height of my large outfeed table when set to "table saw height" outfeed, and so for longer boards I can have them go out and onto there if needed.
This will make it much easier to use the planer, as it had just been sitting on an old bedside cabinet on a dolly...which rolled all over when trying to use it. Now it locks in place really well. I am glad that I got the wheels at home depot that lock not only the wheel rotation but also the bearing spin as well. That makes it very solid when locked.
The measurements are in the video, but if anyone needs me to write it up as well, let me know.
