Haha, I really was a little confused reading "Neckar" since I immediately do think of VFB Stuttgart or the Rhein-Neckar Löwen or something like that ;-) But great idea - really looking forward to building with the restrictions of budget limitations. I guess for my Star Destroyer e.g. I would have had to run my park for like centuries to be able to build it. Great Park as an Example for you could be also the "Kernwasser-Wunderland". Its a never used atomic area rebuild into a very small Theme Park. If you don´t know it, you might have a look ;-)

I love the wooden work you tried to make with the roofs. Also, sorry for not winning the competition at the end, sadly I knew something like that would happen (I still think your project and kukamonda where much better, but alas, Im not the one deciding). Still, you are inspiration for all of us and probably the best with kukamonda of mining the rotating tools and scenery pieces to their fullest to create something Frontier didn't think about. Always out of the box, and thats why I love it!
@Silvarret
8 жыл бұрын
Don't be sorry for not winning, I still got placed second, it's no shame to be placed there with those entries. Besides, I also didn't expect to win ,Alfheim just didn't seem to score that highly on some of the criteria that we were judged, and it's subjective regardless -I'm sure there are many people who wouldn't even think of having Alfheim win the competition. I hope to never stop thinking outside the box though (and breaking the game every now and then), it's definitely most fun. Anyway, thank you!

It's really impressive that you manage to do so much with the objects in the game like doors. I simply would never have even tried it myself because i'm an optimization freak and using a whole door just for the small boards and spamming that so you end up using hundreds in a single small building would drive me insane to do. I'm baffled how this game runs at all with the amount of objects being rendered in your scenes. I really hope planet coaster provides a lot more smaller details for decorating later so you can do a similar amount of fine detailing without the huge amount of wasted hidden faces and polygons being rendered that you never see. Looking forward to what is added between now and the release of the game.

Growing up, I lived in a beachfront town that eventually turned into a tourist town. There used to be what we called "half dollar amusement parks" so this kinda resonates with me. Still, this is approximately a million times fancier than the mom-and-pop parks that I grew up with. They were nothing more than a few fair rides in some converted parking lot. They're all gone now, by the way. They were all replaced with beach condominiums.

@Silvarret I have a question in the very beginning of the video at 0:08 you create walls and then place them in a quadrant. When you do it, it's always perfectly next to each other. But when I do it I always have a gap on each corner ( just like at 0:14 when you build some pre-walls in the air). This little thing screws up the whole building after that. Everything is always one centimeter off. I built the wall the same way as you did in the start but I cannot build them close together without the gap in the corner...The only way I can fix it is by spinning it but then the white side is pointing outwards. I tried making a full painted wall and spin but later when I try to build things on top of it everything screws up again. I need to build it just like you in the start...it looks so simple in your video but somehow I always get these gaps in the corners...It's really frustrating

Scandinavien theme? oh thats exciting! Im scandinavien myself so looking forward to seeing what you will create, swedish, norrwigen? oh, maybe redhouses whit whiteborders? fun fact: swedish houses are often red whit white outlining becose the king of sweden visited the netherlends and saw all the houses there was painted, he thoght they looked pritty and ordered all houses be painted in sweden aswell, the farmer ofcorse didn't do this as it was expencive, but when the king came by the quickly painted the street wall so when the king passed a villige all houses where collored, they where painted red, becose of the easy access to iron sluge used to create red collor, and white for decoration. later, people found out that the side of the house that was painted, was more protected, and the wood didn't need replacing as often, so people started to paint their entire houses, and thats how swedish houses ended up red and white :D
