Thank you, these reviews helped me choose the E-ink device. I have a laptop, iPhone and iPad and almost every time I write memos etc. to my notebook with a pencil. And now I go and buy Remarkable 2.

I have watched your reviews on and off for a few years. I just went back to grad school and need a way to read and highlight research articles and get the paper organized. I also have a tank of a laptop which I love. It's very powerful and does any graphic work I throw at it with ease but I am finding it cumbersome to carry around. I just committed to the Ultra C Pro as per your recommendation using your link. I can't wait to park my laptop more often and use this as a much more mobile productivity tool. Thank you! I also found your collaborative review videos very helpful.

I love these guides, especially comparisons! But do you think you could tackle the tricky topic of these devices' *privacy policies* ? Given that organizing your life on these devices may contain highly sensitive data. I heard the Boox privacy policy is especially sketchy, if you can find it. Would love your objective and measured opinion.

Good policies are better than bad/weak/no policies, but lingering concerns every company rigorously follows them. But absolutely, a comparison of security/privacy would be most welcome.

This is such a fantastic point. Every day even on a new computer, I have to be mindful, of the software we use. Most privacy statements limit our privacy and freedoms. Just take a look at dating apps and any photo accounts, much less META. They are designed to snoop, report, and censor users. One day it's politics, the next personal health, the next is?

Even though I like Voya and his dedication, he isn't as visual or as engaging to-the-point as you. This is what I like to see. Direct comparisons with your input and let us make assessments with all of them lined up. You should name your channel, My Visual Guide.

Thanks for your kind words, I love what Voja does, and it all just shows that there is use for many different reviewers coming at a tech segment from different view points and with different interests and sets of skills! :-)

I enjoy both channels. Kit gives demonstrations of various real world uses (if this, then this), gives ideas about how it goes into a work flow, is very practical. But I don't use these devices professionally and Voja gives a really good impression of how the devices feel in the hand, how they look (he isn't afraid to describe something as a bit boring) and I also really appreciate the close up analyses that give me a warning about things I will like or be bugged by. I think I relate with Voja slightly more because for me they are toys not tools, and there's an emotional component to my buying choices, to let me know if I want it. Kit is really good for the tools over toys perspective that I also refer to to make sure I can justify the spend and hold some resell value.

Kit, I always appreciate your videos and advice. As a professor and working in a center for teaching and learning, I enjoy your perspective. I do think you undersell the integration with the Supernote and Google Calendar though. While it did not sync for you, it works flawlessly for me and my workflow. The only missing pieces are being able to add links directly to the calendar, being able to write on the hourly view (week and month already support this and adding multiple calendars. Also, on the cloud services, Supernote's cloud works very well on desktop and Android, even letting you view .note files. I share your view of them needing to build in at least a read only option for other cloud services. Finally, you mention the note feature on the Scribe and this is similar to the "annotations" and "comments" (now in beta) for the Supernote. Keep up the great work and thanks again.

Hiya, yeah, it synced, but I think that it has just bumped me off from not having used it for a little while. Probably a google calendar security measure thing rather than a supernote thing, so I agree, maybe I was a little harsh on them there. Thanks so much, appreciate the comment!

Excellent. I'm glad you mentioned Microsoft (Word, OneNote, Outlook, OneDrive), although your own focus is on the Google ecosystem. Being able to select your data center region is important to those of us who work in the 'corporate' world, MS O365 ecosystem, but Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). , Any chance of a comparison table summary (eWriteable, further breakdown of your section) of integration please? It would be a massive assistance.

I used to have the boox Air 2 and I was struggling with organizing notes that I take on the go during the day , which e ink tablet offers the easiest and most straight forward way to move notes between notebooks..like for instance opening a side window with a tree of existing notebooks to chose the one you want to move your new note into either by copy paste or drag and drop or whatever ?

Let me share with you all the experience when I used all of my little saving to buy Boox Note Air 3. It is a terrible experience as I need an Eink tablet to save my eyes but the Boox note air 3 is super duper lagged and late. The pen is terrible too. You need to wait for the ink dry, omg! The screen is not as bright and friendly to my eyes as my old kindle paper white 5. Dictionaries are not many to choose. All that you can see in some reviewing videos is not that fancy and smooth. I want to return it now.hopefully they will refund me.

I love your content and could watch you review different versions of phone books. I just purchased a Boox Note Air 3 C after watching hours of reviews. Do you use a daily planner with yours, and if so, what do you use? I, too, don't want to use a PDF (I want to be able to search my handwriting) but haven't found one that works well on the Boox.

Thanks so much. I'll get making my Yellow Pages vs Thompson Directory video right away! You can set a PDF to be the template for a note book. This is something that I am showing in the notes app tutorial that I am currently editing. But basically I make myself a personal pdf with my two week timetable in it and set that as a template, and every new page is just the next day in the template and all of the note taking tools are still available. :-)

Thanks for this video Kit! Like the other comment below I am stuck with analysis paralysis between the A5X and the Ultra C given that I write so much with paper and pen I think I would need this feeling. That being said, the organisation and integration between platforms and apps is very important given how many devices we all use in our workflows. Is it so much to ask for the pen on paper feel with good quality syncing across other devices?

Yeah, I hear you. The note air 2 plus ships with a paper feeling screen protector, but you could always add one to the Tab Ultra C. 🙂

Appreciate the review! I literally just need to replace 4-5 notebooks that I have for my daily note taking at work, and all I need is to have the ability to logically group/index, and search for things. The closer it can be to feeling like pencil on paper the better, and conversion to text is a secondary requirement. Would remarkable fit this need best?
@KitBetts-Masters

It would certainly fit the bill yep. But they all would do a good job. Remarkable is the one that I recommend for pure note taking. But you should look at the supernote as well and if the table of contents and linking features appeal to you, take a look at that. But remarkable certainly has a pencil on paper feel to it.

Still not sure if it's going to be the boox ultra c or the supernote! I am afraid, that if I buy the ultra c, I would not use it as much due to the writing feel..

If you are looking for an e-ink device to replace all, or most of the work you would normally accomplish on a computer or iPad... you really have to go with a Boox device but if in reality you are always going to work on a computer/iPad regardless of what you purchase... I'd go for the Supernote and _'sandbox'_ your handwriting to that e-ink device. If you need convert your text to Word and wirelessly transfer it you computer, it only takes minutes.
