Our HEB here in North Texas has Ring of Fire with good variegation for $20. I was shocked.

Check out Atlantic, known for orchids. I used to work there. Also, Big Bloomers is Disney world of houseplants an hour from Raleigh and it is A CAN'T MISS. Fairview and Homewood in Raleigh are good too.

That's how paphs grow. Theres the first shoot, and when its time for another to pop out it will. Itll go thru its cycle and then the third will shoot out. Completely different growth pattern than a phal or vanda which r monopodial. Which means itll just grow up from one axis.

Well, this comment is not going to be very positive. The piper, I’ve heard it called piper crocatum, was very difficult for me to keep happy. My first one died. I was never able to keep it watered just right. I tried a self watering pot, which gave it too much water, and brought its demise. I bought a second one. Apparently, the key is high humidity and a moderate amount of water. This one seems to be very happy in my grow tent, watered 1-2 times per week under a grow light. Thanks for the video!

Those prices are really really high. Costa Farms has a lot of these plants for 20$. Proven winter has some of the same plants also for much less as well. I people will pay those prices.😊

You get what you pay for. Lots of differences between a good nursery plant and buying a Costa Farm plant at a big box store.
