I think all the rain hasn't helped our Lychnis this year. I notice that I have some self seeders in a couple of my pots so I'll transplant them when my borders dry out a bit. Don't know if they're the white or pink ones. Lychnis is one of my favourite plants and I have to have it in my garden. I know that you like it too.

You're right, they don't like the wet, and we've certainly had a lot of that! The seedlings you have will be a surprise when they flower. We have seedlings growing in a tray from January sowing so we'll have lots to keep us going. Xx

My mum used to have this plant and i really liked it. It seems to have disappeared. She probably didn't know that it only lasts a few years. Must get some more for her.

I'm sure your mum would love to have this plant again. We have fond memories of growing this over many years in different gardens including our parents. It's great when we can reintroduce them. Thanks for watching 😁

Do I take it that you’ve planted the Lychnis about 6 inches from each other ? I too like a packed border

They are pretty close, probably around 6 inches. We love our borders packed and they have knitted together this summer perfectly.

They look far too close together, each grows to spread of half meter wide lol

They have enough space giving their eventually spread and we do like a packed border!
