I love that your video got right to the point without yammering for 12 minutes. Bravo.

This really opened my eyes that the relevant technology isn't the plow... It's the paper pot string. I don't know how I didn't see the benefits of it just on its own. Thank you so much.

Danny Newton don’t forget about volume. The planter pays for itself in time saving if you transplant dozens of trays every week. However for a quick job this works really nice

I've been watching all your videos in order, I like this format of also showing the work getting done, as opposed to just talking about it , it helps solidify sometimes abstract ideas (as a non farmer)

The planter would be valuable in larger field. I thought the same thing. Lots of great tools, but budget definately is the key to good tools.

Cool video! I am a home gardener. I would like to be able to grow enough food for a year but getting slower with age and injuries so always looking for ways to be more efficient. I didn't realize the paper-pod could be done without the transplanter. I liked seeing the inexpensive, simple tools you used. Saying hello from Middletown, NY. Great work!

So you can plant paper pots without having the Paper Pot planter itself looks like. I'd save a lot of money. The guys could just walk and pull the tray as the paper pots pulled out into their groove instead of pulling 3 ft section at a time seems like it work just as well

Wow, finally a great idea for the paper pot chains that doesn't require the machine Curtis S. is selling! Bravo! Do you have a source for the paper chains (consumables) that are competitive with other suppliers? Did you call your hand tool a "Zipper"? Do you sell that tool?

Where can I buy a seed bed roller like the one you have? I've purchased several other of your tools and plan to buy the weed flamer next month. Thanks!
@killawee118

The roller is listed as the "gridder" on his website. It's just for marking out a grid in your garden, it doesn't plant anything.

Forgive me if this is a duh question. I'm a total novice. So I'm assuming this is because the actual transplanter machine wouldn't work without being able to run off the end of the row in this case? Or do you just not have a pp transplanter and/or are just showing how one could use the paperpots even if you don't purchase the transplanter itself? Thanks.

Hi Connor! We’re struggling with getting all the paper pots properly buried in a timely fashion and we’re considering a zipper. Curious about how long it takes to uncover the plants that get a bit buried and if it’sok if they get a little buried? Seems like when you water it may wash off the remaining soil. What about in the field?
@NeversinkFarm

Some plants being a bit buried is no issue. Something like lettuce heads you can use a broom to sweep off the dirt

I'm guessing you never actually direct seeded a bed of organic vegetables. If you did, you'd know what a pain in the ass it is to have it germinate consistently and keep it weed free.
