Great video. The lawns full of bulbs are going to be stunning. To save my back I also used a reaching tool (from Lee Valley). I'd pop the bulb top up into the rubber clamps and lower the tool into the hole and once I hit bottom I'd release. No stooping or bending was required.

I wasn't able to watch your videos for a while and my notification list is full of new ones that I am catching up with now. I am so glad to be back watching your videos, they are so informative and peaceful to watch. 👍🏻

You should add snowdrops and crocuses as well. Both will help the pollinators in the spring when nothing else has bloomed yet. And fall crocuses are gorgeous as well, I have pink ones, which would work with the other fall bulbs. Also you e mentioned before that there are deer. Deer LOVE tulips and tend to eat the flower buds first, just a heads up

I have always read and been told that we're not supposed to put mulch around the bases of trees (encourages shallow root growth among other issues), but I'm seeing you all do this routinely. Would you please tell us what you've learned that shows you this is what should be done? 🙏 Thank you!

In my parents garden there is an old magnolia tree, it's 5-6meters tall and as well wide. It's beautiful when it's i bloom, but it has tons of surface roots that makes the surface soil around it completely dry an none plant or grass can thrive there.

Hi Summer, I very much like all the work you're doing here! Especially the things you're doing with the bulbs. This subject is very close to me as I've also been doing this with my yard, except on a bit smaller scale! I cannot explain how uplifting it is to be able to walk amongst the naturalized Daffodils every year!! I've been wanting to buy cyclamen bulbs for quite a few years, and I'm going to be planting them under my Magnolia too! However, my Magnolia is a grandiflora, and already has a much larger canopy. I feel like cyclamen will flourish in the shade of the Magnolia, we're in Texas, and they definitely need the full shade here. My big problem is I'm not sure which companies overseas are reputable to purchase cyclamen bulbs. Can you share the company name that you purchased the cyclamen in particular? I'm looking forward to seeing the results of all this bulb planting you're doing this Spring, and on in to the other seasons too!! Thank You for sharing ❤

Cannot wait until spring and throughout the summer & fall to see the full effect of your hard labor! I wonder if you plan to supplement your plantings with some annuals in the spring. Also, l was wondering if you have any plans to include Bald Cypress trees in your landscape, just because they are such beautiful and interesting looking trees and they like to sit in water, so why not?

Can you believe that once I made sweet alyssum (1:41) "tea", believing it was a variety of chamomile?😅 It tasted awful! At least now it forms lovely masses in my garden! I am a total noob in gardening. You guys really inspired me to favor native meadow. Here we have a very thick and tall grass! But I can give it chance, right? Thanks for the videos! Greetings from Brazil!

Noticed you planted the cyclamen 4-5 inches deep, as you described in the video. That is too deep for cyclamen. They may struggle at that depth, ideally there should only be 1-2 inches max of soil over the crown of the tuber.

I like to purposely plant some groups of bulbs upside down. This delays the blooms and extends the time we have flowers in the beds

Can’t wait to see your bulb lawn’s progress! The deer, squirrels, & raccoons either dig them up or bite the buds right off of them 🤦🏻♀️ also! That mountain laurel is beautiful!

That's why our fingers are crossed that the fence contractor can come before the winter to fix the 16-acre deer fence here. At least that will be taken care of. And hopefully (hopefully) the generous bird seed and compost pile will be far more satisfying for our smaller creatures. To be continued...
