Thanks so much Gail, we have been working on how we want the channel to be as it we're, and there is a new slower and calm feeling we're hoping to portray. Until we start the cabin it'll primarily be garden related so gardeners world off grid styleee! 💚🌱🌿🌳

@@TheWildlandersOffGrid I miss having a garden. I loved to go see what was growing and follow them and enjoy the pretty flowers and such (sadly no veggie garden since it was a rental) landlord would have gone mental if I removed the lawn for food... 🙄🙄

Enjoying the Vids. I have the Allpowers Monster X 2000w output and 3300w max surge output solar generator for 16 months now . And its brill for wild camping. I can use the Mo Health Air fryer 1000w output for 6 plus days no problem. It was a life saver for cooking in the camper when off grid.

Good effort and results with the swale and planting, the straw and woodchip filling i would think gave off a pleasant odour too. I like the design of the power box as it reminds me of some transistor radios 📻 from the 70s. If you can comfortably get by with enough solar power at the moment, then you know that by summer time you can use everything.

We're very pleased with the swales, and how the food forest is coming on.... Solar is great now, as been sunny albeit chilly for 10 days, maybe more rain to come but another week of sun forecast ☀️🌞

Always many debates on tree planting, 3m, 6m....we read a great vlog on mimicking natural forests, where trees are competing for light, and forests or nature tend to work it out... We want eventually an almost solid canopy to create a micro climate and for lots of shade to help with the 40plus degrees for months in the summer. We'll also prune and shape 🌱💚 But yes, we planted close 🌱☘️🌿🌳

@TheWildlandersOffGrid

Morning Mike, some we get from Agriloja in Castelo Branco, but they're seasonal so soon the trees will end. We also buy from our local place, he has, some great trees, and plants, and can get most things, he's 'sementes do palvarinho' just past the garage on the main road towards palvarinho 💚🌱🌿🌳

Don’t almond trees need both a male and female in order to properly produce almonds❓ ❤️
@TheWildlandersOffGrid

Ours is self fertile so will (does) produce as a single tree, but having 2 or more trees will increase the crop. We do intend to plant more along the hedgerows/boundaries 🌱🌿💚🌳

Are you going to mulch the tops of the berms to protect the soil from the sun ?
@TheWildlandersOffGrid

Good question, and yes, we are. Soon we'll be doing the no dig beds, once they're done we'll straw mulch everything 💚🌿🌱
