Great job on your front trolling motor mount, you created a way for other folks to mount a front mount on similar boats. Very good use of your space too. Great job !

I would definitely have to say the way that you set this up especially in regards to the wiring I mean you kept it really nice and clean. Think I’m going to do something similar to that myself.👍

Great build, Greg! I love your mods! I'm on Lay Lake in Alabama, and we just got a little Bass Tracker Bantam 2X. Fished it a week or two and the generators were kicking my 40 year old butt trying to paddle, so I recently ordered the "4½ HP" 4 cycle Cukusin/Hangkai Honda clone. Hoping I'll get a least a few miles an hour, and our lake is about 12,000 acres, so I'm starting with the gas outboard and getting a trolling motor later. Starting on a very tight budget. I'm gonna steal your low deck idea. I love it! Do you have storage or accessibility for the deck? Also love the magnet idea! That's a quick & easy mod that'll be quite handy for me. I'm also looking at a tackle rail, an original idea for custom lighting, and gotta figure out where to find the rail seats...mine can use em but didn't come with any. Thanks again! Subscribed! I'll be posting videos of my build soon. Thanks for the inspiration! 🤝

I like it!, I like it a lot! Haha. You have some great ideas!! I just bought the Pelican model and don’t really want a deck, but saw one done that’s just a little lower than others. It may be something I try out. I do like being closer to the water when bringing the fish in as well, I will be fishing for Trout, perch, Walleye and Pike. The only one I can flit into the boat really is the Perch. Nice being closer to the water when I release the fish I don’t keep for a meal. I have an old rod holder similar to yours that I will put to work on the boat for sure!! Stay safe on the water, Eh!

nice mods. How did you run power the wire for the graph back to the battery? did you fish it through the hull or just run it under the deck?
@gregchupp5157

I ran it under the deck. Buy a long set of jumper cables and cut off the ends and it’s durable and cheaper than other wire.

1 battery for both motors? How is it working?
@gregchupp5157

I only use back motor for longer runs (with the front one at the same time), that being said after running 15 minutes in the wind, fishing 5 hours on a middle speed on the front motor, it starts to slow down. Without wind I can fish 8 hours.

@gregchupp5157

Alone its fine, its not where you can stand on one side and piss off it, put I regularly stand and throw deep crankbaits without feeling out of balance. With two people I just sit because you never know when they may move suddenly and upset the balance.
