@@TeamTrip I would very much like to go if focus is on orcas but given the situation I would not possibly be allowed into country I’m sure or dangerous if tried. I don’t know how long it will be like that but I’m afraid it will not change until that dictator is gone.

@@nancyblack1900 tourists are allowed into a country and it is not dangerous, we have people from the USA coming this summer for our expeditions. But of course, if you don't feel safe, it is better to wait

@@TeamTrip I didn’t think we were ok to go in. On the State Department US website it warns against travel to Russia due to danger. Maybe that means intercepted at airport or somewhere. I would like to go and will see how it goes but more likely wait till next year and see if all this really horrible stuff is over. I think you get a lot different news than we do and we hear all kinds of reallly bad things going on which makes it scary to go. But If not this year I hope to go back soon. I was there before on your trips with Mike a few years ago but still want to see the orcas in Sea of ohkhouf? and if you ever do trips to look for them further north in Chukota area.

@@nancyblack1900 We do not have such a government in the country as in the DPRK. Yes, we understand that our government has allowed itself too much over the past 10 years, but this does not interfere with life in any way ... About 4 million Americans live in Russia. And American travelers come to us because they know that Russia has the most beautiful nature and other things. There is not much talk about this, especially in America, but I will give a brief digression on what the territory of Russia has: 1) The largest lake in the world is Baikal. Its volume is so large that 100 Seas of Azov can fit into it. It is larger in area than Holland and Denmark. 2) The biggest mountain in Europe is Elbrus. 3) The most salty lake in the world is Elton (almost 500 ppm, you can lie on it like on a bed). 4) The largest museum in the world, it has almost 3 million exhibits, and it will take you about 8 years to see them all. (Among the museum staff there are cats with their personal data) 5) The largest forest area is the Siberian taiga (almost 1/3 of the forests of the entire planet) 6) The largest active volcano in Eurasia - Klyuchevskaya Sopka (it has been erupting for more than 7 thousand years and continues to grow with each ejection of lava) 7) The most ancient mountains of the world are the Ural Mountains. They are almost 600 million years old. And the most ancient mountain, which is called "Pencil" - is more than 2 billion years old and consists of the rarest rock - israndite. And in fact, the list can be very, very long. And being afraid to go to Russia is the same as being afraid to go to Canada. It makes no difference, many in Russia don't even know about the war, because it's not that big compared to what it's made out to be. It is profitable to talk about the war in Ukraine, because America needs NATO closer to Russia, while Russia needs it the other way around. And nobody cares about Ukraine itself.
