Excellent tip about playing the open strings for transitions. That is a HUGE welcome for a beginner. Takes considerable pressure off for "not sounding right".

Brilliant lesson, especially for beginners. The bit of theory at the end makes it really worth watching. Rather than giving too much info at once, the short explanation of theory really makes it digestible.

A quick alternative to avoid the Bm barre chord is to sling a capo onto the second fret and play D, Am, C and G shapes. Try to get those barre chords down though. Great video! ❤🤘

A better alternative is just to play 3 chords, E, D* and A*. To fill the void of Bm you stay more time in E at the beginning. This is the blues acoustic version that Ashcroft used to play and it fits better in an acoustic guitar.

Nice. Those chords and the string line on acoustic make the whole thing sounds eerily similar to _Wicked Game_ . That's also a great tip to play open strings briefly during the chord transition.

Cool! Thanks! I have a lower voice, and like to sing, so this key works better for me: A Em7 G D. If you use 020030 for Em7, you can lift off the ring finger to do a little chord melody. Something about this key makes chord melody really easy! :)

There's an acoustic version where is played just 3 chords, E, D* and A* and it fits better. So you are right because in the chorus is like this and stay more time in E instead of passing to Bm.
