Ive been running this in person the last few weeks and it performs OK. I do run the brothers package in it, 4 garp(great turn1 and can reveive the 2k buff on turn 3 to attack for pressure, also can 3 don him turn 2 and attack 5k twice) 4 3c 2k counter luffys (searchable with Garp) 4 5c luffy, 5c ace, all the babies. Was running momo but swapped him out for Shuraiya as momo always felt too slow and cant 1 turn combo with Sabo effect often. But can bounce Otama to life for an emergency heal. Currently I run 4 garp 4 baby luffy(up from 3) 4 baby ace (up from 3)(found the 2k to leader to be really oppressive to R/P law) 4 Morley 3 rush Zoro 4 Hiyori 4 satori 4 kikunojo 4 Nekomomushi 4 5c rush Luffy 4 5c Ace 4 3c Luffy 2k counter (searchable with garp and can reach 7k power for 5 don) 3 Shuraiya (replaced momo for Shuraiya, momo felt too slow) Not running eb01 cards yet

I love the promo (P-006), 2Kc Luffy here. I had him in the deck for a bit as well in that flex spot. Morley is missed here, but I’ve been fond of Smoothie in his stead. Your list looks solid! Any thoughts on what you’re swapping out for 4c Kid & Killer (if you are playing them)?

@LocalGameGroup so I've already dropped 1 zoro and 1 3c Luffy to add 2x 0c red event counter(sanji event) I'd probably remove all remaining Zoro and Morely to make Killer/kid fit, or go back down to 3 babies each, the rng on that isn't awful, but sometimes having 3 in hand of 1 is EPIC. I Find that I can threaten with Ace nearly all match. If anything I could drop the Luffy package, keep the 3c Luffy, keep Garp, and add a fill for the 5c luffy and luffy babies.

Morely is just such a strong set and forget, he's so threatening to the opponent yet not a big piece of your strat, so he's great with mind games. Him being a 3c and life summonable seems so hard to get rid of. Not a fan of Lindberg though. Maybe if I drop the Luffy package and free up 8 cards I could add a momo and Otama package, bump to 14 or so 2ks, and go slightly more defensive. I do find that the Luffys help vs B/Y Luffy though. But with Morley often mull for both him and Garp, garp turn 1, morely turn 2, then attack with Morely, send to life and buff Garp turn 3 to 5k again, assuming he didn't die from possible turn 2 swing. A lot of pressure and possible 5 life

I like Momo a lot if you’re on any amount of Land of Wano. Perfect way to get “free” life and a blocker on those playable Wano types. Sometimes he’s the absolutely best card in the deck, other times he’s flat out a dead card, haha. I still enjoy him at 3x though. This build is leaning far more heavily into Wano though, so he’s (nearly) always playable. There are times I wish I was on the 0 events to pitch him, haha. I could see going for 2x of the Y 0 (like the trigger on it a lot - always frustrates people when it hits, haha).
@azimuth9819

@LocalGameGroup yeah it's mostly for the trigger, but the 3k is nice. I'd most likely just use Momo as an attacker, he's too bug not to swing with, I just don't always need the heal, and rarely KEEP a kikunojo on board long enough for me to Momo her

Great video, I like the 1 cost name that gives a rested don to a leader or character + revolutionary package. I don't think it's the best way to play Sabo but it's fun.

Yeah, I think it’s a Koala promo(?). Essentially ST01 Nami, but Rev Army searchable. I think it helps with extending the usefulness of Don, but it’s not crucial… Why I feel 2Kc Yamato is flexible, but I am enjoying her in the list.

So i tired the 3 borthers strategy and dident like it as well. So this is what i have came up with. I haven't had a chance to test it tho. 2k counters 4. Satori 4. Koala 4. Otama No counter cards 4. Kikunojo 4. Rush zoro 4. Rush ace (kid and killer when its legal) 3. Morley Other characters 4. Sharaiya 4. Karasu 4. Lindbergh 4. Banish inazuma 4. 4 cost ivankov Events 3. Either red or yellow 0 drop 3k counter.

I like the Yellow 0 Event most, but I moved towards having only Characters on this build… However, if Yamato gets to popping off, the Yellow event is even better (with a little luck). I was playing Rush Ina in this version for a bit before retiring him, haha. Next to this package, I honestly liked the Rev Army second most: the Rev Army trigger playables all have really decent effects. When OP07’s Dragon hits, that card is going to pull some weight here. The 8/9k body and making another thing (likely) 7k+? Too good. Love the build. 🍻

- Use Leader effect predominantly on Rushers (to prevent relevant attackers from being bottom'd) - 2x Don up Sabo and attack often with him - (True for every Leader) work their board before working their life - Yamato will help stem any bleeding from early attacks and ideally hit 4c and under, provided you've tackled their board > Leader

Yeah, I keep making variations and always fall back on the Trigger playable variant. I enjoy that each Leader in this game has it's own learning curves... Sabo's definitely one of the more unique Leaders out right now, with a few different play styles. Glad you enjoyed the deck!

I started playing about a month ago, started with Sabo, then switch to Katakuri but now with a little more experience, somehow Sabo feels a little nicer to play against RP Law, not winning but the matchup feels less overwhelming
@LocalGameGroup
3 ай бұрын
You really need to focus RP Law’s board. You can definitely beat that list with Sabo, but it’s difficult with the onslaught they put on. Focus on board, then face. Once they’ve lost hand (unless they keep ripping Reiju’s) and they’re in top deck mode, there won’t be enough power reduction to stop your board. Katakuri is generically good, for sure. The abundance of life gain can be great in the mid-to-late, but anyone aggressing as hard as an RP Law can get you before the late: that’s were the constant life replenish and buff of Sabo comes handy 🙏

@@LocalGameGroup right now my structure is pretty straight forward using the liltle brothers but definetely want to give it a try to this structure, also rinse and repeating attacking with kid and killer with 7K then putting them back to life goes a long way, as long the Law doesn't get lucky and gets a couple of rush characters

Great video! I just subbed homie! I love this deck! And your list. I dropped the brothers almost instantly except for 5 drop Ace. It just doesn't work as well in this deck as it does in the other two unfortunately. The combo is sick though. Your build is very close to mine but I'm not currently playing hiyori because I do not want to buy it lol.

Been playing a lot of him, haha. We can talk BY Luffy next (EB01 meta) 🫡 Another list that just abuses 8c Gecko Moria. Luffy’s my favorite deck for (Black) 5c Sabo. I see folk using 5c Shirahoshi in there too 🤔 I’ll showcase a build that’s competitively playable.

@@LocalGameGroup Shirahoshi is so good for consistency to get to Sabo and Moria. And also Big Mom's Chanter. Take a life for free until we get Flampe, and then I think the deck becomes turbo Fortress or 0 Life by 6 DON turn and you set up Sabo loop. But trying to play triggers when you can with Hiyori and Makino. I would loooooove to cook something up with you because this Luffy is a menace

Nothing quite comparable, sadly. Makino from ST13 can help position potential Trigger playable already in life, but other than that there isn’t anything that can help plant them.

Why Koala over Flampe?
@LocalGameGroup

Because we don’t mainline any hard removal, I prefer koala to help in exchanges between characters. However, flampe is definitely an excellent choice for aggressing with rushers. You can swap them out, for sure. 🍻 I’m on koala now, but could happily switch.

@@LocalGameGroup gotcha I ask because I was running Koala with Lindbergh but I didn’t feel that helped with much removal. Hard playing Koala for the attack makes sense. I just find I get starved out when Im getting the loop going, Flampe seems like it’d help with resources
