The first day SCHD is positive in your IRA, sell it and focus on growth stocks. SCHD is a great retirement fund once you have a lot of cash. It's what an annuity should be. Pay you consistently yet doesn't F you in so many ways like the annuity... 50 SCHD, 25 JEPI (less year over year growth but pays out much more to increase your income), 25% rock solid single companies paying consistently monthly or quarterly. Earns you income, and you don't touch much. Dividends don't get you to the finish line fast enough, they ARE the finish line.

Gold and Silver are often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy.

Investing in gold is a reliable choice, and I plan to keep buying more to make up for my losses. While silver is also a good investment, my collectibles are not as similar. I did one thing that saved my ass. I got out of debt. If you have no debt, you will have a leg up on most of the population. I am skating through all of this financial and economic chaos because I have NO debt. On top of that as today housing market is over inflated in many countries I get out of housing ponzi scheme so at this point in time I just renting. I see in the future high taxes for homeowners because government must pay lot of debts so this money should come from somewhere and homeowners will be taxed to death. Upon hearing George's response, Mike's face was in shock. Just go back & look at the video! He said and I quote: "I have a different view - it's not necessary the money, or the system of money - it's the involvement of the government. I actually think the fiat money system without the government is superior." That's a bunch of Keynsian nonsense and George should know better. But he's a "milkshake" guy now. What would you expect? I hope Mike doesn't join them.

Totally agree . George misses the point that if you continually produce more currency and then the rest of the world says get lost, the dollar has a problem and so does anyone holding them. Once belief is lost there's no going back. And it is lost, right now and the writing is on the wall. But George has convinced himself that volume equals value, and it doesn't in a currency that's being hyperinflated via debt production. Thought George was smarter than that.

As for property in the U.S, property is a national fiat asset, it would go up in value against the U.S. dollar, however not in other currencies or global assets. It is true the dollar has a very mature financial system; users of it can do a lot of hedging. For the time being, we do not see anything comparable among BRICS+ countries. However, one should never forget the very foundation of the dollar is oil (and other commodities by extension). How many oil-producing countries will keep using the dollar to sell oil? Will BRICS+ countries still use the dollar when selling commodities they produce? No financial system can replace commodities, no matter how sophisticiated it is. When you see the US government add a trillion dollar of debt every 100 days, you should know the day of the dollar is being numbered and Uncle Sam is squeezing the last drop of juice out of it.

In times of higher inflation over 4%...the stock market and S&P (especially in today's over-ripe-boated stock world) will FALL HARD. Mark Moss who said the S&P will double in 5 years from now in higher inflation is WRONG! He had everything going right until he said this one statement on the S&P rising 50% in 5 years...very dangerous to those that need to take profits NOW in the stock market and get out now to preserve their wealth.
