I really appreciate the videos you share on this channel! I have watched many of the ones in the getting started playlist. One thing I remember you saying pretty often is that you start with some basic settings and then adjust from there (although at the moment, I can’t remember in which of the videos you stated this). What are the ideal settings to “get started” (for any type of image)? For example: when starting with no filter, which model and which sampler are recommended to test out a prompt? In this video, it finally clicked that I need to select the filter first and then choose the sampler that works best with that filter.

I'm glad they've been helpful! At the end of the day, it really comes down to personal preference however from my own experience I tend to start with these settings (in general for SDXL, Playground models are much more simpler) Prompt Guidance 5-7, Quality and details 30-50, Sampler DPM++ 2M Karras. Use the google spreadsheet for some suggested settings based on filters. Hope that helps!

@@playgroundai I am trying to achieve more natural looking images, rather than the fantasy images. I have found on most I get less patchy stuff/artefacts by lowering to about 3 on the prompt, I was doing around 7-9 sometimes up to 15 & it was too overdone/intense/over-sharp. I was trying right up to 98 for quality/details but it looked better for me at around 30 … especially with the newer samplers.

Hello, I am trying to create a portrait and I just keep getting "safety issue detected". I'm not creating anything pornographic or NSFW, the subject is just sitting there fully clothed, yet Playground refuses to generate images and this message comes up time and again. It is driving me insane. The prompt is as bland as could be, I've put "naked" and "nudity" in the negative prompt, I've tried changing sampler, adjusting the guidance, etc. Please, what on Earth do I have to do?

Thanks so much, its always a shame when a great image isn't quite there, this looks like it could be the answer. I'm always for geeking out on the details, so I for one would love to hear anything you have to say about individual samplers!

Learned something new from you as always ! I would love for you to do a more in depth video on samplers! Your Google Docs guide is also very helpful, would it be possible to add a recommendation to match filters/samplers to types of results? For example which is best for landscape photos, architecture both realistic and fantasy, portraits, realistic imagery, CGI results, etc. I feel like I spend most of my time trying to match a style outcome that I want that, to my prompt, and always end up getting 100 different photos after hours of testing different sampler/filter/Quality/Guidance combinations in the process. I've watched every video.. searched endlessly online, and am still struggling. Also if I import a reference photo it removes the desired dimensions that I would have wanted. Any tips? 😊

Please start showing landscape images on your home page. Better yet, add a filter button that lets us view either landscape or portrait images. Almost all the images I generate are landscape used for thumbnails. I have little interest in portrait images.

@@playgroundai Filtering on image aspect ratio is pretty standard, as it is with Google Image search. People search not just for images but need it to be in a certain aspect ratio.
