Hey man. If you want to be a "KZitemr" step up your game a bit. It takes work but your a good player and you have theory. Take the time to make a better vid and post charts etc. You will get a thousand hits a week dude. And thanks for this. It helped me a lot. Remember that most people are really stupid, so you have to slow things down for a tutorial.
You must have a different chart than I do. I appreciate your analysis, but you do move quite fast, and without knowing what chart you're looking at, I wasn't able to follow it all.

I agree with jcshirke. This is a fascinating analysis but very hard for me to follow without a chart. You mentioned that you will post more info somewhere. Could you post that link here?

Lawrence Siden, I know it's been 2 years. Anyway, he posts on jazzguitar.be/forum as Reg. That's really what all these videos are for. I don't have the direct link now. sorry

Wow, I think that's the longest I've ever had to wait for a reply! No worries. Well this tune has intrigued me for a long time. I've watched Reg's video numerous times but his presentation is too rambling to follow. Finally I got a new private teacher and he helped me go thru it but I'm still discovering new things. I'm beginning to realize that you don't have to hit every cord tone while soloing. You just have to know what each line is resolving to. There is a lot of harmonic shape shifting, like a school of sardines on a nature program that frequently scatters then reorganizes into a new shape while a dolphin is trying to hunt them for a snack. I guess "Sardine Dance" doesn't sound very romantic, so Herbie called it Dolphin Dance instead. I don't blame him. I would too! :)

Lawrence Siden Haha! Yes, this guy's videos are absolutely fascinating because he's evidently an amazing player, and will mention this intriguing concepts but then not even finish his sentence.

@@LarrySiden The problem with chord chemistry is there are so many perspectives to consider ( guys spend years @ University studying this stuff ), the more of this you do, the clearer it becomes, this is a great vid, i'm glad that you brought it up.
