20:04 Here I would just take the bishop. If you move it, first, it doesn't really have a good square to move to. But more importantly you leave their bishop pointing at g7. I hope you don't regret this later.

I like the 15/10 format. Look how well you played when you have some time to think. He had plenty of time but didn't use it and threw the game. Don't worry about the last game. Everybody has days like that.

Well, it didn't take long for your Be7 move to come back and bite you. The very next move you are in trouble. 22:18 Please don't play Bg5. You are pinning your own bishop, And what if white plays h4. I think you have to play g6. All this mess - it could all have been avoided had you just exchanged bishops.

You played well in the opening against an opponent who played slightly unorthodox. At 15:38 I wondered whether h6 was wise. At first I thought it was just weakening for no reason at all. No reason to play it. But then I heard you saying you were making space for king to avoid back rank and that makes some sense. Glad you didn't exchange on a1 - leave the tension and let them exchange.

Thanks man yeh i felt solid for sure but i didn’t realize I was playing with that high of accuracy. The extra time did give me time to calculate what he wanted so that helps

40:37 I don't know why white went Qh5 rather than Qg3. I wish you had looked at that in the analysis. It seemed to let you off the hook. Anyway, well played. You made a few errors but you held in there and fought your way back. In the end you used your queen in the endgame better than they did!

@@NetChessNChill You played nearly a perfect game. Just that bishop to e7 when I think you should have played BxB. However, you made a lot of sophisticated moves. Like when you realised you needed to exchange on a1. And when you moved your king to g6 right at the end - that was very nice.

I have to ask about something, I've not yet seen a video of the opponent trying to win via flagging you, does that not happen often? It happens quite a bit to me, at least 1 in every 8 games: the opponent notices some small lead like even 30 sec and starts playing faster. Even more extreme, occasionally someone will play extra fast from the very first move, even before they had any time lead, such that it seems their whole gameplan from the beginning is to win by timeout. In many cases I have lost while being something like 2 pawns up, in king+pawn or king+pawn+rook endgame, because I simply timed out frantically moving vs their ~36 seconds left (they are also frantically moving, and just playing stalling moves with intention of flagging) And on the flip side, in this match your opponent has a 6-7 minute lead but they either choose not to use it or don't know that they can. Or is it me that's unlucky if I encounter that playstyle so much? Any thoughts? If it matters, I pretty much just play rapid 10/0, which is certainly a bit faster than 15/5 but... it's also certainly not bullet or blitz either where we would really expect to encounter fast gameplay... so, I don't know 🤔 But anyway, putting that question aside, you did a really great job at not cracking under pressure on this one, honestly.

Playing with increment helps avoid that. I know that if I have low time i just have to play fast and i will gain time back. They do still try but when I have increment i find good moves fast still usually so they mess up even more trying to flag all whilst not flagging me

@@NetChessNChill That is interesting, thanks. Hmm, maybe I will add an increment after all, in that case, lol
