Man, I feel you: Stray Demon's AoE was the bane of my existence when I first played DS1.

Right? Like Stray Demon was one of my last boss's I beat before Gwyn since I despised it. Skipped it on NG+

If you go back to the bell tower where you rung the bell (Undead Parish teleport) there's a man that sells Purging Stones for 3000.

Tips and trivia: Cursed is a status build up that works like deathblight in Elden Ring, but if you die to it, you get cursed, and are stuck at half health. Curse can be removed by talking to a person in New Londo, or by using a Purging stone. They are a rare drop from clams, or can be bought from the undead merchant in that watery tunnel between firelink and the undead burg. Seath the Scaleless was made a duke by Gwyn for betraying the dragons. He was given part of Gwyn's lord soul, and a massive archive, where he did experiments and slowly went mad. It is believed he made the Butterflies and the Crystal Golems. Now that you have the peculiar doll and the Darkmoon Seance ring, you can access two hidden optional areas in Anor Londo. The skeletons in the catacombs and Nito's boss room revive infinitely unless killed with a divine weapon. Patches is a recurring character in Fromsoft games. He typically tricks you, begs for mercy, then becomes a merchant if you let him live. You can now enter the dlc. I'd recommend doing it close to the end of the game because it's the hardest content, but be careful. Killing the final boss sends you straight into NG+, so if you want to do the dlc, you should do it before killing the boss of the First Kiln area. Accessing the DLC is kinda obscure. You have to kill the hydra in darkroot basin, then reload the area and kill a gold crystal golem where the hydra was, then kill the crystal golem at the entrance to the duke's archives for an item that will let you go through a portal by the hydra. I usually wouldn't just tell you how to do it, but there really is no in world logic to why it works that way, and it can be very hard to find the first time.

I knew we would have to fight the duke! I'm definitely going to have to search for those two hidden areas though, I had no clue the ring was so significant. Also, I would like to do the DLC, so thanks for the tutorial! That really is an obscure way of accessing it but I would expect nothing less from this game :') Thanks for the comment!!

You can also buy purging stones from the NPC in the undead parish tower just after you fought the gargoyles

@@SunmanUK Don't know if you've already done it by now, but just in case/for anyone else reading who doesn't know, the gold crystal golem is in a cave(?) behind where the hydra is. The hydra is actually on open water that you can fall into and die from.
