Reminds me of when I played for my school. We started the Headbangers Club. I was the only girl. I wanted to play for the Multicultural...(I forgot what it was called) event, so I took my friends & talked to the principal about music... rock n roll, metal, grunge, & hip hop are all a part of American Culture and like that, we were on the bill along with like a dozen other cultural clubs including a swing dance club, lol. We had 3 performaces in 1 day. One in the AM, one in the Afternoon & one in the evening for the parents & families. My band and I all dressed up to represent different decades of style, I got 70s. We opened with Aerosmith's Walk this Way with the Run-DMC part and we had guests appearances to do vocals, one was a girl from choir and the quarterback of the school and my fellow bandmate that played trombone to rap. But it was awsome to have my band play a medley of alternative, grunge, nu metal, death metal & such. I cant remember all we played but an old schoolmate has a video of the whole day. This was in 2005. Great memories. I had a small fanclub in those days 😅.

As a drummer myself, I can feel where that young man is, in that moment: 1000% dedicated to the song, & to playing it!! But, he is still managing to "choke up", when necessary, & not completely override the sound. Yes, he might still need some practice, to perfect his skill, but I've got a feeling we're all gonna continue to see these guys, later on down the road. It's not talent! You dedicate hours upon hours on this craft whether it's drums bass vox or guitar. F&CK YEAH!!! This was awesome. You two did well for an assembly, honestly! (Your drummer stabbing his floor tom at the end was freaking PERFECT.) The one time I played for an assembly back in my senior year of high school did not go as well as yours did. But I know now that's just the nature of rocking out and playing live music! Keep making/playing music, man...whether it becomes your career or not. Music soothes the soul and speaks many languages at once. Take care, and keep rocking out!
