Alan wake is good, the first one is kind of a horror action thriller, then there's American nightmare which is kind of a spinoff and I think theres a sequel, then quantum break and control are different games from the same studio that worked on Alan wake, so if you've played those two and enjoyed them then you'd probably like Alan wake although its alot more focused on dark horror and trippy dreams etc

jet set radio is my favorite game of all time because i played it in foster care on my foster brothers ps3, jet set radio hd. later got it on computer when i got back with my mom and bought my own laptop, and then emulated JSRF a bit but wanted an authentic experience. i borrowed my friends original xbox and it didnt read discs, so i cleaned the disc eye and it only worked with jet set radio future and serious sam, so i either needed a new disc drive or a new xbox. i ended up getting a crystal xbox and i fucking love it, from my birth year and it was in storage from the day it was bought to when it was ready to be sold on ebay. won the auction and have been a proud owner of a modded crystal xbox since ! got the xbox specifically to play jet set radio future but ended up really enjoying conker live and reloaded on it and playing chrono trigger on a snes emulator, and replaying earthbound / a mother 2 translation. had a modded wii and let my older brother borrow it and he went out of state with it and corrupted it and i couldnt help, so my old earthbound save was lost which was bitter but ive been gettin at it casually

Now I am hoping Microsoft resumes adding titles for backwards compatibility on the Xbox Series X, so that at least most of these appear backwards compatible. We can all live without Halo 1 and 2 being made backwards compatible, since the Master Chief Collection already exists (and also due to the original incarnation of Xbox Live being shut down for 11 years and Microsoft not wanting to patch the games to work with the modern incarnation, especially when most games will be left unplayed anyway, that, and Halo 1 launching a year before Xbox Live, when the Xbox could have seriously benefited from Xbox Live on it's launch day rather than one year in), but there is a strong first-party and exclusive lineup for the system that needs to be made available again.

Hindsight really makes you realize how spoiled we were then when it came to console launch games. Xbox truly brought a kick-ass lineup, but I remember the beating Xbox took from critics and PS fanboys about how the system had nothing to offer. Xbox’s reputation didn’t really turn around until Kotor released a couple years later. The narrative really isn’t any different these days.

Original Xbox gave me so many good memories. Skipping elective classes in high school to play halo coop 😅 I got the JSRF bundle and fell in love with the game and it’s soundtrack. I probably wouldn’t have discovered it otherwise, so happy I got that bundle.

I bought an original Xbox just a month ago and have really been enjoying it these past couple of weeks. 20 years later some of these games are still fun.

Everything I listen to this guy all I can do is think about him quoting Westley's lines from The Princess Bride... as you wish.

I was wondering about the surprisingly small amount of sports titles, but then the second half of the video hit me.

I am a snowboarder, so I bought the console just to play Amped. Amped and Amped 2 are the best snowboarding games ever to me. But yeah, I bought the console with the Halo pack, and Halo was absolutely fantastic.
