Am I mistaken, or should he be running one inch, or at least 3/4 inch PEX to feed those multiple drops. I can't imaging 1/2 inch PEX not dropping pressure if multiple faucets are running. In my home, I ran separate 1 inch lines for both the upstairs and downstairs. I fed all 1/2 inch lines from the 3/4.

Hello Ed, Thanks for the comment. I had a master plumber walk me through pipe sizes. He advised I would not see a drop in pressure in that short span. Water into the house is 1 inch reduces to 3/4 and 1/2 to the fixtures.

good work brotha, i too just started playing with PEX, those lines seem pretty close to each other i was told to keep them at least 4-6 inches apart when possible so there will be no condensation build up. have you heard about this or was i miss lead?

Thank you. Definitely a good rule of thumb to space them if you can.

Why drill all that wood when you could have placed the lines on the truss with only drilling the drops. I do not like watching these plumbing shows because I see so much bad plumbing. Do you know the rules on drilling stud, possibly not.

@12:00 Lines should have been run above/below each other in the stud, not side by side. Too close to the edge and risk puncturing with a nail/screw. Those studs will now require metal plates before any walls get put up. And even if not a load bearing wall I'd still space the holes a min 2" apart.

@@SerenoOunceThanks for the comment. The stud did get a plate. I should have been clear on why it was put that close. On the other side of the stud you’ll see the vent pipe is in the middle of the stud. Didn’t leave me with a lot of room. Same with having them above each other. Thanks for watching and pointing out where I could improve.

@bartmormino907 Thanks for the comment. I would have loved to run the pipes on the trusses. The reason I didn’t is because the attic is unconditioned space. (No heat)I live in zone 6 on the climate map. It gets to double digits below 0 degree Fahrenheit very often. I’m definitely not an expert and am open to learning better/easier ways of doing things. Thanks for watching.
