This is really informative and helpful. But why is it that @21:06 in the demo dataset, the information on the x-axis (cut) automatically rearranges in alphabetical order instead of maintaining its original format in the table? This is the same issue I am having with my data (using geom_point). Any suggestions?

Great video as always! Also, great reference book, this was my first R book and I'm still going back to it because it was so comprehensive. Great resource because it is free and gets neck-deep into the tidyverse. I also recommend Yarrr! The Pirates Guide to R (also free) as an alternative view that focuses on more base R. I found starting with tidyverse gave me a bit of a skewed look at how things work for R and it took a long data science Kaggle demo for me to see what I didn't know, and the incentive to go back to learn some of that. Link here for Yarrr!: bookdown.org/ndphillips/YaRrr/

Thanks for the link Glenn! What have you found are the benefits of working with base R? (I started with base R but since I discovered the tidyverse I have worked mainly within that framework.)

@@tomhenry-datasciencewithr6047 Honestly, not much, I also found myself going back to the tidyverse because it is just so much easier. People keep saying it is good to know base R, and the one reason why I think some basic literacy there is useful is because tidyverse accesses vector names differently (e.g. using the ` key) than base. Little differences like that were enough to trip me up early on.
