Thanks for a video thats a departure from most manufacturers sales pitch. This isn't my judgement on others, but my personal feelings on crackware. If we're out here complaining about Spotify and other big companies ripping off artists, then we're no less a thief using pirated software. It's not moral high ground. I want to be paid for my work, and its less than authentic to expect fair and just compensation but not to offer that to others.

Great to hear all that from the developer's perspective and from your personal perspective as well. 1. About the plugin tabloids, I totally understand it and agree with you. I've unfollowed a lot of plugin reviewers because I started to feel that they were doing it in a very wrong way. Like testing a plugin only in the master and not in different instruments or buses, etc... Or they were not understanding at all what is the plugin for. A plugin that's useful for a sound designer may be not as useful for a producer. So reviewing it and giving it a very short and narrow point of view like "good" or "bad" is a very poor analysis to consider when thinking of buying something. AND it's reckless. 2. About piracy, I've always used pirate plugins and softwares until this year. It's nice to hear about how it was for you in India, cause being from Brazil, the prices are still waaay out of reach for a lot of people. It's either buy a plugin or pay the rent, cause it will, in some cases, cost around the same. So what I do now is to rely on giveaways and keep an eye on big sales and discounts. I strongly feel that companies should have some kind of price localization like what happens in the game industry. That would help a lot of people struggling with audio outside of the first world. Anyway, keep sharing your thoughts and being this honest and transparent. This is much appreciated!

Hey there ! Thanks for your lovely comment. I like the the idea of price localization. Being in the states we are blind to the actual economies of different countries and also currency . Will look into this ! Thanks !

Hey Gaurav i love my neural q and model 5000. Most of these youtube videos are probably paid by the big companies and they look down on the little guy and not actually give them a fair chance...i really appreciate what you do for us musicians

On the note of people wanting a refund on a plugin because of what someone else says about the plugin, I am fascinated by people asking strangers, "should I get this plugin that's on sale," when the plugin has a trial available. Even when the person is told there is a trial, they will say something like, "yes, but I just want the opinion of other users…" *completely oblivious to the notion of making their own decision.

Exactly, I find it quite strange.. Music and Sound is so personal.. I also fail to understand how another persons view is relevant in ones own workflow and taste.

It's no hidden secret, that so many reviews are made for views, clicks and channel growth. Maybe not every expert has the experience and knowledge, an expert should have. Some weeks ago, I checked out a plugin, that would ease my workflow in eq-ing. One of the reviewers I looked up bashed the software as nonsense. I tried it by myself and worked some days with it. Happy, that I did so. I bought the plugin, because of its great benefit for my workflow. What was the difference? Simply: the reviewer has got more than 20 years of listening experience in a mastering studio. He knows, what frequencies to check and to filter. I'm a songwriter, session player and now producer with only 3 years of experience in production work. I'm at the beginning of my learning curve. So for him it's not needed. That's fine. For me, it's a great help to learn and to get better. Who's right? Who's wrong? Maybe that's the wrong question at all. Btw I'm using your Model 5000 in almost every mixing session. The longer, the more I like it. Great plugin.

I'm glad that there are still folks like yourself out there who have faith in their own judgement. This is so needed in all aspects today.

Will there be updates for the older plugins like Samplex optored etc?
@gdayal9

they're all updated , no ? , we put oversampling and plugin resize in them and they work on all all daws and Os.. in terms of sound, I wouldn't touch those.. they're classics and loved by most :)

@@gdayal9 It would be fine if they all had the ultra x oversampling.
@gdayal9

@@TurkoftheDrums ultraX is a system that is designed for neural models only. as it involves training models at v high sample rates and then algorithm plugins like optored don't have any any training mechanism and have algorithms which have v good oversampling systems already
