I remember when I was first researching firearms 3yrs ago, & I was almost certain the PMR30 was going to be my first pistol! ...Fast forward 2yrs later, & many-many KZitem videos later, I decided to go with the CP33, love the little handgun: 50rnd mag + suppressor = so much fun!

Got my pmr30 two years back, first thing I did was clean it, check for burs and lube it. It ran 300rds with only 1 hiccup, almost 100 percent sure I loaded the cartridge with rim behind the cartridge beneath. That coupled with the gun was still stiff (lightly Fired). I used the CCI 40gr per instructions first 300 rds. After break in it shoots anything I put in it. It's a great pistol for folks who understand it.

I have recently purchased the PMR30 and absolutely love it. I also have the P17 and the Sub 2000 in 9mm and haven’t had any issues with any of them. Looking at buying the CMR 30 soon.

I own 2 Keltecs; PMR30 and CP33. They are very unorthodox designs. Fun to shoot. Both of them are somewhat of a process to load the magazines. That loading trick for the PMR is key. I keep those Keltec magazines lubed with Hoppes DRY-LUBE. It sprays on and dries to a slick white powder. Does'nt gum up and makes cleaning the plastic magazines easier. There is a pimp daddy kit from MCARBO for the PMR that I did install. My only failure was the bolt buffer on my CP33 disintegrated after 500 rounds. I simply made a duplicate out of a spare buffer from a Marlin Model 60. I love my Keltecs. They are something completely different.

The Maverick extension is worth every penny and so is the speedloader. The Maverick extension prevents you from accidentally hitting the mag release button. The .22 mag brass is easily bent when trying to handload (thumb) the rounds into the magazine. The speedloader is a quick and doesn't bend the brass. I can now put 121 rounds downfield (4 mags with Maverick) in less than 2 minutes. I have not had a single misfire or a jam since I started using the loader. I've never had a problem with the feed ramp but have seen the kits to replace.

Dear keltec, please design a side folding(at the chamber) 5rd magazine-fed .223 bolt action rifle with an underbarrrl mounted m203-styled single shot 12ga, that comes standard with a 22lr rifled shotgun-insert in the stock along with space for a single 5rd box magazine and a few shells(22lr and 12ga)..it can be called 'the civilian' and be marketed as a light pdw, hunting implement, and utility rifle

I Can Not Preach Enough about Reading this User Guide, not only on this Gun But All Kel-Tec Guns! There is always Important Information which is specific to each of their Guns that everyone should know before shooting these Guns! I know this will sound silly to some people but as an example, The CP33 has very Important Information about their special magazines and ammo. The CP33 has No Feed Ramp and one must know that the Magazines act as the feed ramp and they must be cleaned after almost every shooting session to prevent malfunctions! I have 4 Kel-Tec Firearms and they all performed great right out of the box and I have had no Issues! Read the User Guide, follow all the Tips and special Instructions and also use High Quality 40 or 45 grain ammo and you will have a Fun Shooting Experience! NOTE: Purchase an Auto Loader from Amazon for your PMR or CP33. I have the "LUDEX" which works Great!

The manual recommends to smack the back of the magazine every five rounds as you load.

Love this gun. Got mine in Northern Lights super cool color. It ran flawless out of the box on 40 grain armscor. My daughter has the P17 and can’t wait to try this big brother. Awesome design.

Love my PMR (and CMR! ) Having a carbine and a pistol with the same mags is a joy. You said it though, the loading of the magazine is key to this running properly. Load the magazine correctly, it just runs.

just bought a grey and black one.. I can't wait to get it after our 7 day waiting period. The mcarbo buffer seems to be a must along with thier other upgrades..going to do them on mine one day...going to run it out of the box first.

Use oil on it! I have a video on my channel and 3in1 oil works great. Makes it much smoother and perfect operation! I love my PMR30! I also love KELTEC firearms! Plan to own more!

Very informative video but some other video showed stripping the magazine for cleaning by pushing a button on the bottom then sliding base cover out and releasing the spring.

@@Iceaxehikes It's also 58 clams more though. The original one has lasted 7 years. It's just got some big depressions in it now from the barrel block slamming into it. I just want to onow if it's ok to keep using it or if I should swap it out for 2 clams.

I bought a couple of extra on my PMR from Kel-Tec. It is an observational thing for sure... I've run 250+ through mine and still haven't replaced the original yet.
