Really useful Video, I was struggling a little with pnp and it really helped to set things up whilst using your video as a recourse. Many thanks!!

Hiya, I've watched your DNAC video's - thanks for publishing. Do you know if its possible to do an "if" loop based on the site or floor that the device is located? Ie. specific floors have specific VLAN's assigned to them. Do you also think there will be a way to import a CSV with the values for the variables and have them deployed? Guess that would need to be done through the API rather than GUI? Thanks :)

There is no way in the template to map a loop to a site/floor.. you would need to use some other method, tags, user option to select, API.. Yes you can use the API to push any tempaltes to anywhere have a look at Adams blogs here: blogs.cisco.com/developer/dna-center-template-programmer-api We do have the ability for CSV imports via the GUI , when you cycle through the provision workflow you have an option to import a CSV file with the variables, its a good method for folks that have all their IP data in some exiting structured data (i.e excel).. During provision theres a handy export button to so you can download an empty CSV file to see how to construct yours.

Nice Video Sam, I have a question in regards to using Interactive command in DNAC. Currently we are trying to save the config on TFTP server using VTL interactive command. What is the syntax for using 'enter' key: Example #INTERACTIVE copy running-config tftp []? x.x.x.x [sw-1-test]? ENDS_INTERACTIVE

Hey, sorry for the slow reply here i had my notifications disabled! The return key is implied, i.e after the response is passed there is a new-line also passed. I do see you have a double question, response there though. I personally have not tried it where you are asked subsequent questions. You could just use the whole copy string with two empty lines that will pass the return key also like so: ! copy running-config tftp://10.209.209.25/config.cfg ! this would have the following effect on the device: ! JinjaPython#copy running-config tftp://10.209.209.25/config.cfg Address or name of remote host [10.209.209.25]? (carriage return) Destination filename [config.cfg]? (carriage return) !

Can you PNP discover a switch using its management port? or does PNP need to use an access port on vlan 1?
@sammybibs

It can use the management port, it can also use any front port on any vlan if the upstream switch signals this via "pnp startup-vlan".. Check this session from 38:30 or slide 35 to understand the implications of this. > www.ciscolive.cm/on-demand/on-demand-library.html?search=BRKEMT-2001#/
