Set of videos that aim to provide an easy guide for the assembly, disassembly and repair of all the components of a Chinese minibike.
Like all the work I do as a hobby in my channel on motorcycle and car mechanics, the main philosophy is that of efficiency, understood logically as the maximum possible optimization of resources, that is, to get the projects proposed at the lowest possible cost without losing quality and safety (best possible cost / benefit ratio), so in this project to build a personalized minimoto to my son, I started from the base of a Chinese minibot that I bought second hand for € 20, with the carburetor unusable , without silencer and with a broken footrest.
During the process, I could see that individually purchasing the new parts I needed was very expensive, so I observed that it was more profitable to try to get another used and damaged Chinese minibow but that it had as many parts as I needed, so I acquired another minibike for € 40. Previously I had already bought a new carburetor with a cost of € 10 and a new centrifugal clutch for € 7.
Therefore, the material costs of this project, for now are the following: € 20 + € 40 + € 10 + € 7 = € 77.
The cost of a new Chinese mini-coin is approximately € 200.
Obviously, if you take into account the time that you need to invest for this restoration project, it would be more profitable to buy a new minibike. The advantages of this process, from my point of view, are basically the following 3:
A) Learning of the operation and repair of all the components of a minibike, very necessary for the maintenance and later improvement in its daily use, because these machines require a constant adjustment and maintenance. On the other hand, the initial components with which they sell these minibikes wear out immediately, so they have to be replaced with new ones of greater durability; Clutch shoes, brake pads and tires fundamentally.
B) To be able to make a manual workshop video so that the rest of the parents who are considering starting their children in the world of two wheels and do not have too much mechanical knowledge can use this guide as a reference to always have a point your minimoto.
C) Customize the millet motorcycle and make it exclusive for him.
