Drawing ink in general is waterproof. It's the one in the printer (if you tried watercolor over printed linework), and the ink that goes in most fountain pens may smear.
@MaddysComicart
6 жыл бұрын
mishimi not really, It depends, I have a gew black ink pens that are not waterproof. It also depends on how much pigment you lay on top of eachother, the paper can only hold so much, everything else will lay on top and get smudged easier.

If felt tips are made of plastic, then why aren't they called plastic tips? How are they made to bend like that and produce ink if they're plastic, not felt?
@JetPens
8 жыл бұрын
Plastic can come in many forms--the tips we refer to are made of nylon (a type of plastic). The nylon mimics hair so they can bend and take ink.

It is a soft, porous plastic sponge that is often referred to as 'felt' due to its physical appearance. Felt is actually a material made by compacting a fibrous material, usually sheep wool.

Here is an important question: can a pocket brush pen use PERMANENT ink? Mine is default, and the ink is not permanent. Which means it is easy to smudge and erase even when dried. I was advised to load it with permanent ink next time, and was told that it would work. Will it though? Please be honest, I really want to respect you guys.
@JetPens
9 жыл бұрын
Hi there! That depends on the brush pen and the type of permanent ink that you use. For example, certain permanent inks can damage natural hair bristles, so it's best to play it safe. However, you should be able to use permanent inks with synthetic bristles. We recommend permanent inks specifically made for fountain pens, since these are designed to not clog fountain pens, so they should work with synthetic pocket brush pens! For example, Platinum has a brush pen that uses their carbon ink cartridges. Hope this helps!
