Thank you Dr. Leaf. I live with 88 yr old mom and sister who has Dementia. Been here 4 years, mom requested me to move in during the pandemic. Unfortunately we don't get along much. Sadly. We've been in therapy together for a year. A bit better than we used to be, but still very toxic. She gets angry with me easily. Doesn't understand me and when I try to explain myself she often goes ballistic and berates me or yells, swears. Today it hit me hard and I went outside and couldn't hold back my tears. I searched for information about crying and found your channel. Your video helped me feel better. Thank you again 💓

I love it when you talk about God in your talks. I just watched a video of yours from 4 years ago and it was powerful. We need God more than ever now.

I’m trying to Neurocycle my way through a divorce .. journaling and your book is helping me. I cry a lot... My son was killed in a car accident over 5 years ago... many tears still come when I least expect it but I’ve learned to roll with it. Thank you for your teachings❤️

Crying to relieve mental pressure is what I did all my life, until finding other mind management techniques. I taught my children that crying can be a sign of daring and of validating emotions, too. Thank you, Dr. Leaf, for bringing clarity to all matters of the mind💗

@@jhgolf25 Damn my guy you’re so manly! You must feel very tough lol 1. Let me guess you don’t cry - which make you and your dad really tough guys lol. 2. You being uncomfortable with men touching men just goes to show you were touched by your father and how your uncomfortable by the idea. 3. Sad that toxic beings like yourself come to this amazing woman’s page to speak about the exact thing she is saying is toxic. 🤮 4. I’m not even gay and you automatically went to... I guess...attempt to make fun of gays. Wasn’t a good try... again 🗑. Grow up

I had a bad fight with my hubby two weeks ago and I cried like I've never cried before because I was hurt and angry. It was an ugly cry, but I can honestly tell you that afterwards, I felt so much better and even thought that my health was better. I don't know how to explain it but I have been angry, stressed, depressed for awhile and me crying the way I did let go of allot of the anger and issues I was experiencing in my life. Thank you so much for this video and I'm so happy I found you Dr. Leaf. Very valuable information you put out.

I shared an experience with a close friend a few days ago, that happened in a past toxic marriage that was still hurting me .. in an attempt to right the wrong of that person, they got me a gift that was the most thoughtful thing anyone had ever done because it was something that was directly related, to the bad experience .. I cried because it was so loving, but I was feeling the pain of the past experience at the same time .. so it made me feel closer to the friend but not sure if the pain is better .. confused ?

@ Dr. Caroline Leaf can someone grieve unhealthy or too long?
@jessejules2092
3 жыл бұрын
Grief varies from person to person. Grief never goes away, it just gets easier to manage over time. There is no time period in which grief should start and stop. Assuming you're asking because you're unsure and maybe have negative thoughts associated with your own grief or the grief of someone else? Grief should be embraced and acknowledged. If there's shame around feelings of grief, then the person experiencing shame associated with their own feelings of grief, needs to address the thoughts associated with the shame, and instead apply truth to counter that shame. Thoughts such as 'It's not wrong to feel grief and to look after myself in healthy ways to help me through it.' No one should tell another that their grief ought to stop or that it is unhealthy. Telling someone that, is a sign that you're uncomfortable with their painful grief. If you are the one in relation to a grieving person, you are the one that must determine what it is about the others' grief that is hurtful, and manage your own emotion around that as opposed to expecting the grieving person to have to change their behavior to suit your own need for comfort. If you are uncomfortable with what a grieving person is doing, then hopefully you can express this in a loving way. It can be a matter of give and take. If a grieving person is burdened with another's expression of discomfort over how they are grieving, then this can be too much for the grieving person and they may become depressed or worst case suicidal. Grief can be very difficult to navigate for both the person grieving, and the loved one who is supporting a grieving person. It takes a lot of communication, consideration and patience to work it through to a place of manageability.

DOCTOR, all though I have no stance on People crying or not.... I have something to say about a co-worker that cries every time she's questioned at work. So, to me .... Im just having second thoughts about victimizing one self infront of others that don't have to carry your toxic lack of emotional regulation.

I told my daughter today. It would be nice if tears changed colors with emotions that way people would know the difference between happy and sad tears. My husband just passed away so I’m full of emotions and my daughter is pregnant with our first grandson. there is a range of tears flowing 🥹🥲😘 just when I think there are no more tears to shed a deluge opens up! Thanks for your teaching!

Can you explain the non stop unable to control crying over anything and everything in "antidepressant" withdrawal/paws at all? The build ups of unstoppable intensified emotions are non stop, I wonder how the salt/protien would look in those tears? Sounds, light, everything brings it on and it doesn't stop for a long time.
